this is a big truck with high speed.
it has two 9.6 volts batteries which booost the speed. The chasis of this truck is strong but the upper body is very lite.
with full speed this truck is uncontrolable.

I bought this truck fo my son. It arrived on time and it was the best experience i had so far on teh internet. Usually i feel scare to buy something because (you are not very sure on what you will get).

The money was well spent on this little toy; my boy loves it. It came with everything i need.

Mil Grasias.

4 out of 5 stars Giant rc = top fun (OUTDOORS ONLY)   September 15, 2008
jef (wisconsin)
THis is one giant RC truck. It runs over most things no worries about that!! can do mud, snow (packed) or less than 3 inches deep. grass, logs, gardens and jumps. All top fun!!
Pretty robust unit for the money too, recommended for all, get 2, they have a switch on the transmitter so you can race multiple. The body shell comes off like a hobby grade car too.

1 out of 5 stars Mediocre quality, not recommended   September 14, 2008
007 (Colorado)
I had purchased 2 large, 1:6 scale New Bright 4WD Jeeps for my two boys a couple of years ago after hearing how much fun they were from an online forum. They were about 150$ each and although a bit more than I had planned to spend was rather impressed as my boys played with them hard for about 2 years. In that time we had to only order one replacement remote that started having trouble. Still a lot of use until they finally wore out the motors and transmission. So after trying a few cheaper RC cars which never lasted more than a month, decided to get another large New Bright vehicle. I was unable to find the Jeeps that had served us well, but found that New Bright still had this 1:6 scale 4WD LR3 unit. I found it for prices from 70$ to 130$ and bought it. It came in quickly and my son was very excited to finally have a decent quality RC truck again. Immediately the toy had issues. First the contact in the reciever under the truck got loose and caused steering to go back and forth repeatedly on it's own. A call to the tech center said it would need batteries. Replaced them only to discover the poor contact design in the compartment was the issue. Had to rig it to work but got it. The toys bounces with the 10 shocks like it's on a pgo stick! The older Jeeps drive and would crawl over rocks and climb hills easily. Not this one. It bounced so bad that I removed all but 4 of the shocks which helped a bit, but still horrible to drive on anything but absolute smooth surface. It still has strange issues where the truck will continue to do what control was last used for about 3 seconds AFTER you let go of it. All in all, not impressed with the truck. Way short of expectations, will likely not purchase New Bright again.

4 out of 5 stars Highly recommended.   August 28, 2008

This truck is huge and fast. Not to be confused with the 1:8 or 1:10 models that in pictures look the same. This one uses two batteries and moves, other do not.
