No surprises. I bought this larger version of Dangles to complement the smaller one-named "Monkey George"-that my daughter already owns and loves. She had the smaller Dangles since she was 3 month old. My wife's friend gave it to my daughter as a gift because my daughter was born in the Year of the Monkey. Since then, the monkey has gone every where with her. We've put him in the washing machine at least twice a month for the past 3 years...nothing is wrong with it so far. We are expecting that the larger one will be as durable as the smaller version.

We offered my son lots of blankies and stuffed toys, but this monkey is the one he chose for his treasured lovey. We bought more than one, so that he always has one available even if one is in the wash. This monkey is machine washable and stands up extremely well. I have washed each of our monkies several times and the fabric is still like new. The only wear is that the embroidered mouth, fingers and toes has come loose in a couple of spots. I posted a picture of my son with his monkey in the customer added pictures.

Everyone of the kids at my daughter's daycare (she is 1, they are between 15 months and 4) love the smaller version of the monkey. I accidentally bought this bigger version -- but still to rave reviews. He is cuddley (more so than a typical beannie baby) and has a sweet face.
