Editorial Reviews:

Product Description

The snowy owl's camouflage of white feathers with black spots hides it perfectly in its northern habitats in Greenland, Canada, Alaska, Siberia and Scandinavia. This plush puppet sits poised as if ready to swoop down on an unsuspecting lemming, but you can animate his wings to make him cruise the skies or turn his head 360 for an unobstructed view. What fun!

21" wingspan.

Editorial Review
Puppets nurture the imagination, inspire creativity, develop interactive play, and expand language. This reviewer has found them to be excellent tools for teaching foreign languages--children will comfortably experiment when manipulating a puppet, but not when simply talking to a friend. As children mature, they are able to use puppets in a more sophisticated manner that will help them last a good long time.

Snowy Owl is well made and true to form with her white and gray spotted fur. The texture of her leather beak and talons gives her an air of authenticity, and her large glass eyes ringed with thick white fur won't miss a rodent. A plastic stick inside Snowy Owl's body lets you rotate her head 360 degrees. With a wingspan of 22 inches, she will play a prominent role on the puppet stage. --Sandy Hirsch

5 out of 5 stars Snowy Owl for 8 Year Old   August 10, 2008
Bogie (Central Ohio)
My 8 year old son adores snowy owls after having to perform an oral report back in the first grade. This plush toy is exceptional and he sleeps with it every night. The extent of the puppet is a wooden handle in the body of the owl attached to the owl's head that rotates 360 degrees. This toy is a great success.

5 out of 5 stars A real Hoot!   January 8, 2008
JBH
My husband collects owls and this was one of his favorite gifts.
This owl is so soft and just made so well. I spent lots of money on
other gifts and this is the one gift he kept showing everyone.
It is everything that I expected it to be and more. I am so happy
that I was able to get and it was delivered fast and on time. I
recommend it for children because it is really fun to play with.

5 out of 5 stars Harry Potter Hedwig hand puppet snowy owl   March 29, 2007
Sacred Chapel (California)
This photo does not do the product justice. It is an armful, you slip your hand inside and you can turn her head around, flap her wings and you can use a velcro in back to pin the wings back. She is large, (not huge), very soft, cuddly, like a plush toy, beautiful eyes, face, wings, coloring, a masterpiece! I love her.

5 out of 5 stars People of all ages!   November 17, 2006

People of all ages will love this puppet! My mom got it for me last year, and I absolutely fell in love with it the moment our eyes met. =) Not literally, of course, but the eyes hold another realistic touch to my buddy. Stick your hand right into this cute owl and you can use it to flap his/her wings, as well as use the stick inside to rotate your owl's head a full 360 degrees! You don't have to grope around for the stick...it's right there, in the same convenient place all the time. The beak is made of a fine, durable leather, and the markings and coat are realistic. This owl is not only a puppet, but is very soft and cuddly and can pass for a loved stuffed animal as well. The stick does not make it any less cuddly...you can't even feel it! The feet and talons have realistic tufts of white fur on them. Overall, I hope you get this new member of the family...something you AND your kids will cherish! (Or maybe you just want to get it for yourself). If you don't purchase this loving friend, you'll really be missing out.

5 out of 5 stars Adorable and life-like   July 7, 2006
PDA (Madison, NJ)
We bought two of these owls for my daughter and her friend who are Harry Potter fanatics. The moving head makes it so lifelike and it is so cute. Highly recommended!
