Send This Pooch Back to the Pound! June 9, 2010 Amy Steele (Waynesville, NC) Never again! Overpriced stuffed animal with pass to virtual world. In order for my kid to earn points to "purchase" items for the mutt she had to answer 100 questions with a time limit to each question. So overwhelming for her. Then, when we tried to log on after creating her profile and that whole deal, we couldn't even access her account (no idea why; I am not a totally hopeless chimp when it comes to computer problems). "Webkinz", my ___! More like "Wastekinz"!
Chihuahua! April 22, 2010 M. Vrieze I have this chihuahua and it so cute and the site isnt hard to navigate and it a fun site and always have something new out and going on so it never gets stale and boring. Plus there all kinds of animals to choose from and they always come out with more new ones.
Lots of fun December 30, 2009 Bill Coshow (Newberg Oregon) My grand daughter (7 years old) loves Webkinz World. The Chihuahua came looking just like the picture. She says it's a great stuffed animal in addition to being a WebKinz and worth every penny. She uses Macintosh Safari and doesn't have any trouble with the website and she doesn't need help from adults after she got started. She says she is very pleased with everything that came in the package and her tag didn't get lost as other reviewers have claimed. She suggests keeping the tag in a safe place like in a box. She adds, "so come on down and get your Chihuahua".
Over Priced Stuffed Animals December 22, 2009 JessBB6 (Los Angeles, CA) The only reason I buy these Webkins is because my little sister loves them, but I in all honestly think that they are way overpriced. You are not actually paying for the animal itself but the online subscription to interact with the animal online. However, the subscription expires in one year and its very costly every month to continue it. I don't understand why it's so expensive and some animals cost more than others and they are not even collectors items. My only issue with these Webkins is the price, but who can put a price on a childs happiness?
my siter loves it! December 14, 2009 Christian Farrar (Boston, MA USA) se uses it all the time, playing with it and using it as if its a real pet! she also goes online with it, using the special code it comes with for the virtual WEBKINZ world. its a great product for young children

E-Z Bat Baseball Bat Toy is a Hit with Toddlers
The E-Z Bat (by Monkey Business Sports) was invented by a dad, probably because he was tired of pitching then retrieving 5000 baseballs a day. It's a simple concept that works! Kids thread the firm, foam-rubber donut-shaped ball on the end of the bat. A little stopper keeps it in place and it's a base hit every time. If you want to pitch the balls, the stopper comes off and that works just as w...

Paper Hat Press - Gorgeous Custom Books For Kids
I don't normally cover books because Elizabeth Kennedy, About.com's Guide to Children's Books is so good, but I felt like I should tell the world about Paper Hat Press.
They make beautiful, gorgeous, artistic, elegant, customized hard-back books for kids. Each book is unique, but it doesn't just feature your child's name. It has his favorite pet, favorite food and super-hero qualities. Input ...
New Toddler Toy Becomes a Choking Hazard in My Office - Detached Part from To...
Every week I write about toy safety and toy recalls. I recently had cocktails with the toy-safety experts at the Toy Industry Association and I have the CPSC and ASTRA on speed dial. Imagine my surprise when my 5-year-old discovered a manufacturing problem with a brand-new toddler toy, right on the floor of my office! ...Read Full Post
Toy Recall - Lakeshore Learning Magnetic Maze Boards' Magnets Can Detach
The CPSC and Lakeshore Learning have issued a recall of 18,500 Lakeshore Learning Magnetic Maze Board toys because the wand can detach and expose a magnet. Magnetic toys are among the most dangerous toys and are frequently recalled. If children ingest magnets or small, magnetic parts they can cause internal injuries and, in some rare cases, death. The company has received 10 reports of the wand...
