Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The 2-in-1 Snug 'N Secure Swing from Little Tike is sturdy, safe, built to last and loads of fun for your child. As a baby, your child can enjoy swinging though the air while feeling secure and safe - the straps and harness keep your child snug in the swing seat. As your child grows and his confidence grows, you can remove the straps and harness and watch as the 2-in-1 Snug 'N Secure Swing become a regular swing.

Editorial Review
Young children will get the hang of hanging with this cute swing from Little Tikes. Its blue plastic body sports sturdy yellow shoulder straps and a red T-bar to keep babies and toddlers safe; the T-bar can be removed for older kids. Parents should make sure not to hang the swing above concrete or another hard surface, and they should check that the support structure is secure. (The instructions don't specify how to attach the swing to the support.) The swing holds a maximum weight of 50 pounds. --Andy Boynton

5 out of 5 stars Lil Tikes makes mommy smile!   November 16, 2008
Francesca (San Antonio)
Great gift to our triplet grandbabies - yes there are three swinging at once, how precious! This product is excellent, inspires a great sense of security as they swing. We would like to have had longer hanging option(s)... had to purchase pieces/parts to extend. Otherwise -- fantastic! (And a very special thanks to Amazon; without your community we could never have found them "off season".)

4 out of 5 stars Best Choice for Me   November 7, 2008

I read most all of the reviews on most all of the toddler swings out there. It seems like other reviewers have covered all the basics about this one. All of the issues others listed as cons were not really a problem for me.
- The attached ropes are rather short - definitely a problem if you plan to hang it in a tree. We have a swing set already set up, and the length was just right for us.
- The safety straps do take some getting used to in order to release them, but are very secure, so if your toddler happens to be a mini-Houdini, you can rest assured they probably still won't be able to get out of this!
- The way the shoulder straps 'fit' does cause them to slouch quite a bit, but my son is a professional lounger (you should see him in his stroller - with his feet up!) and doesn't seem bothered by this.
- A few reviews said the straps mildew easily - I live in what's been called the 'second sunniest town in the U.S.' so not a problem for me.
- Some reviewers said it flipped easily. I've tried to flip it and can't. In the event that it did somehow tip over, it seems like the shoulder straps would keep your child in place, and a good parent would be standing right there anyway.
I would recommend this swing, but you know your child (and your environment) best - consider these things and go with your gut!

My 7 month old loves this swing. He likes to play with the T bar. It is very relaxing. Easy to hang, I draped two short chains from a hammock hanging kit over the patio. I only wish the ropes were a little longer. Bought it at Toys R Us for $23. This will be a great item for our growing family.

This is a great swing and the kids love it. It seems to be safe and it was easy to put up.

5 out of 5 stars perfect swing   February 22, 2008
Liberty's Mom (texas)
After letting my daughter test out a few of my friends swings I decided on this one. It is : easy to install, secure and easy to use. The rope is perfect for her to hold on to but doesn't rub her like others did. The harness is great b/c it only takes 2 seconds to fasten and even though my toddler can unfasten a lap belt (like on a grocery cart) she can't unfasten this harness. The seat is a bit reclined, but I actually like that my 19 mo old will sit back and relax or tilt forward and try to swing herself. I gave it 3 stars for educational value because she has learned about wind, seasons, back and forth etc. while in the swing. I highly reccomend this swing for anyone w/ an infant who can sit well on their own to age 3
