Product Description Little all-stars will love batting, chasing and catching with this grow-with-me sports set. It starts off with the soft ball snuggly in the wobbly-action tee for early batting practice. As baby grows, raise the tee and rest the ball on top so toddlers can hit it out of the park. Fun music and sounds reward baby's actions, for a home run every time! Ball and baby-sized bat are specially designed to fit baby's grasp. Requires three "AA" batteries, included. Measures 7.5"W x 7.5"L x 10.625"H.

Cute September 1, 2008 PB Max We bought this toy for our four month old son. He has a good time swinging at it and hitting the little players on top. This item is super cute and I can see him growing with this toy. My husband especially loves watching his little boy play with this.
For the VERY young baby May 9, 2008 Carol (Chatsworth, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for my grandson, who was 16 months and it's way too small. If I pull up the post in the center, which only moves up an inch or less, it's still way to small. It comes to about his knees or slightly above. Every time he hits the ball, the whole unit goes flying, in the ball attached mode. He's not tall of his age, so I'd say this is meant for children 1 year or under. For me, it was a waste of money.
Future All-Stars Can Slug It Out April 8, 2008 K. Fontenot (The Bayou State) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Baseball playset is a very fun toy for young ones. My son, who's eight months old, loves hitting the ball and/or tee and hearing the crowd of children cheer him on for a home run. When the child is young, the tee retracts and the soft baseball attaches to the base so that it doesn't go flying across the room. As the child gets older, the tee can be extended, freeing the ball and allows the youngster to hit the ball in a more realistic tee-ball fashion. Along with the cheers of the crowd, there's also "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and a bat cracking noise to encourage youngsters to hit the ball. Players are stationed at first and third base, and when the child pushes one of them down, the other pops up and says fun phrases. We've had this particular toy for about three weeks now, and my son can't get enough of it. He loves hitting the ball with his hands (and chewing on the bat). It has held up very well so far. Overall, I'd recommend this toy to anybody with a child old enough to sit up on their own. Hitting the ball helps their motor skills, whether or not they use the bat. Even if your child doesn't make it to the majors, Fisher-Price introduces them to baseball (or softball) in a fun way with this toy.
