Fun & challenging December 1, 2008

I bought this game for my older son (almost 10 yrs), but it became an instant hit with his younger brother (almost 3 yrs) as well. There is some skill involved, but in very short order both boys were flipping & stacking the monkeys and having a lot of fun - together!! I tried it myself and it's quite addictive and entertaining. We haven't used it in the car yet, but the magnets are so strong that they rarely miss the board - even though it's small - once you get the hang of it so I think it will be OK to use when we're on-the-go. It comes with 4 monkeys, but the info on package says that you can add more seperately, which I'm planning on doing because my little guy likes to carry them around with him. The pieces are polarized so that only blue monkeys' feet can stick to yellow monkeys' feet, but their bodies can stick together, which gave my older one a chance to ponder magnets & polarity (Ok, that's kind of stretching if for educational value, but I had to mention it). It's a pretty simple toy, but good fun!
