Richard October 11, 2008 Richard C. Mick These are the best manufactured foam dart gun made. I use these in a camp setting and they are, in comparison to multiple types of foam dart guns, the best made.
The best nerf gun ever September 25, 2008 James Krohn I have a lot of experience with nerf guns and this is the best one ever (unmodded). I use them in masse with my youth group. If you really get the wheels spinning you can shoot the darts across the gym, it is accurate, and it is semi-automatic. Almost perfect. It is also very durable. Everything is built thicker on this gun. Big gears on the pump handle and it is thick - not like the old wildfires where they cheaped on the plastic and the pump handle so easily broke or bent. The darts are thick and very durable. With a standard nerf dart and an air pressure gun, they are pretty useless after they split. Plus it is not an air pressure gun which makes it more durable in itself. Another bonus is that it comes with 12 darts. There are only two downsides. It really can't be "pre-pumped". You have to pump as you want to shoot. The semiautomatic nature more than makes up for that, but it is a downside. The other is that it is not stealthy. People will hear you when you are using this gun. Great gun - upgraded to fantastic if you are not a person who is interested in modding and wants to use something out of the box.
fun, but the darts hurt September 22, 2008 Russell (Waukesha, WI) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a fun toy. It is easy to use even for a small child. There is some minor assembly required (You just have to put the two handles on) and there isn't any directions, but that's not that big of a deal since you just snap the pieces in place. The biggest thing for me is that the darts have a hard plastic tip on them and if you get the flywheels going at a good rate of speed (generally two pulls of the handle) they come out pretty fast and hurt if you get hit with them. If you pump the handle more than that they may go through a window so it is definitely more of an outdoor type toy.
