Great toy for kids October 4, 2008 So you have kids or little brother or sister or you just like shooting hoops? This is great, I use paper balls and throw papers into the garbage can through this hoop. The ball is a little heavy and could easily break the hoop after a few unsuccessful throws. -Use a lighter ball -Generally fun.
Great hoop and backboard but ball doesn't work. April 17, 2008 Wolverine (FL) The backboard and hoop that lights up are great but the ball never worked. Plus like people said the ball is too heavy even if it did work. Just get a cheap 3-4 dollar nerf basketball and use the ball from it. For the price on amazon.com it's worth getting even if not for the ball. Plastic construction of the backboard is nice.
Oh Nooooo......... April 12, 2008 Chad H. (Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Wow. This toy makes you wonder if anyone at Nerf actually tests these things before they put them to market. As has been said, my first impression was "where is the nerf ball? This thing feels like a brick!". I assumed that I was being overly picky because of my kids' newly renovated room, so I hung it over the back of the door like it said, and took a shot. It was so loud that it scared me - plus I thought for a minute that the ball had actually broken the (solid oak) door. Bottom line - this thing is junk. I had to bolt it to the wall to even use it, and even then it stinks. The walls rattle with every shot, and you have to swish it to make a basket with the brick of a ball. Stay away from this one....
ball to heavy January 15, 2008 R. walker The ball is to heavy for the net. Because of the lighting in the ball it is heavy and constantly pulls down the net. I went and bought a diffrent ball to go with it.
awesome prices!! January 14, 2008 D. Connole My son is 11 and as any parent knows it is hard to buy for an 11 year old. He loves the basketball hoop by Nerf as it looks really cool glowing in the dark. Bought the item for $7.50, totally unbeatable prices with free shipping included at Christmas time.
