Editorial Review
When the kids aren't yet big enough for a real basketball hoop in the driveway--or you just want portability--this plastic hoop set is the ideal solution. The gray plastic base, which can be weighted with sand or water, supports a black-and-purple pole, a gray backboard, and a red hoop made of white nylon mesh. The pole adjusts easily, in 1-foot increments, from 4 to 6 feet. The set features durable, all-plastic construction, and assembly is a snap. Just think: by about 2015, you may be screaming for your favorite team with greater animation than ever. --Richard Farr

Product Description

1 out of 5 stars Fell apart after 1 summer season!!!!!   November 5, 2008
Jennifer E. Villarreal (La Porte, IN)
My mother bought this for my son for a Birthday Present in May. We put it up for him to play with in June- by August the hoop would not stay up anymore. It was like the sun had made the plastic too hot and now the hoop is too heavy for the base to keep up. It is very frustrating! I think the plastic they make these toys with these days are cheap!

5 out of 5 stars How to secure the net!   September 12, 2008
R. Gray (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

To attach the net so that it does not fall off you need to lay it down on the floor and step on the inside of the rim until the net CLICKS in place. You must hear the CLICK in order to ensure the rim is properly attached. If you are still having trouble, call Little Tikes! They should be able to provide service and assistance. Don't let the thought of the net falling off keep you from buying a great product for your little ones. My son LOVES it!

4 out of 5 stars Great hoop for kids; net is a pain though   August 18, 2008

Overall, great fun for the kids. The Hoop goes together easily. It is sturdy and fun for the kids. Adjusing height is easy. The net constantly comes off its hooks and must be put back on by an adult. The ball that came with the set was lopsided and not playable - no big deal, we'll get a new one. I'd be happier if the net stayed in place - so would my kids.

4 out of 5 stars Only one problem, the net   April 20, 2008
Samantha (Seattle, WA)
We just bought this for my son for his 4th birthday. He has so much fun with it, however the net will not stay on. It is beyond frustrating as I have to keep looping it back through. This product would have got 5 stars, if not for the flimsy net.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect for the toddlers -- and still working as they grow.   January 30, 2008

.
The set of 2-year-old twin boys have a lot of fun with this. It is at the lowest setting, but they get a thrill when they get the ball through the hoop.

It is easy to set up and show the children how to play. At 2, they don't get much, but the ideas are there. I taught my 7-year-old niece how to make baskets when it was fully extended, and before that day she had made zero, from that point on she rarely missed.

It gives the children a real sense of accomplishment, and definitely elevates their self pride. If you have small people in your family, this is a small investment for a big return.

Well worth 5 stars.
