Perfectly Pleased November 12, 2008 Hula Mama (Hawaii) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had a wonderful experience ordering this table. The vendor was professional and the item arrived promptly (not always the case living in HAwaii). The table was in good condition and was easy to put together. My daughter is having a great time with it!
Decent table for the money January 17, 2008 B. Wells (Richmond, VA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As the price indicates, this isn't a high-quality table. But, it serves its purpose. We preferred to spend more money on a nice train set, and save some cash by getting a lower-end table. The pros are that it is very roomy and has a storage drawer which accommodates our 130-piece set. The cons are that it is already showing several scuff marks on the white paint, and it's only a month old. It was extremely easy to assemble, and took about 30-45 minutes. Note that it is quite low to the ground. Our two-year-old has to be on his knees to play with it. So, if you're looking for a table that your child can stand at, this one's not for you.
Sturdy multi-functional table that looks great! December 27, 2007 M. Gray (Oregon) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this table because it was plain enough to use with a variety of toys (doll house, train, puzzles, etc.). It took my husband 2 hours to put together (LOL), but it is very sturdy and had a great pull-out drawer on one side. The only "bad" thing I have to say about it is that the drawer is not on wheels and can be hard to pull out and does not pull out in a smooth motion. Otherwise, this is a great quality piece of "furniture" that will be in our playroom for years on end.
Great Train Table for Better Price June 9, 2007 A Middle School Teacher (Santa Cruz, CA) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
My two-year-old daughter was playing with her trains on the dining room floor before we got this table. We were all constantly stepping on pieces, having to redo the track layout, etc. Now she can play for quite a while without wreaking "butt-zilla" havoc by sitting on everything. She does sometimes still sit on the table next to the track, but the table is sturdy enough to hold her 30 lbs. just fine. And when she takes the track apart, at least the pieces are enclosed rather than being scattered all over the floor. No need to buy the brand name (Thomas) tables...this one is so much less expensive and still solid. The drawer is also quite deep and long to store the rest of her train set accessories. We have several Melissa and Doug wooden toys and so far we've had no construction issues with them. With that said, there was one screw through one of the beams that hold the table top up that never really went in to the table edge. Like I said, though, it still holds plenty of weight. Once she outgrows the train phase I'm sure she will still enjoy using clay, a dollhouse, or something else on it. Note that it is quite large--about 48" x 32"--so don't get it if you don't have room for it. We chose this one to accomodate her train set. Because it is so large we have it away from the wall so our daughter can walk around it on all sides. As she gets taller/able to reach farther (she's currently about 35"), we'll be able to put the long side up against a wall to save some floor space.
Not bad February 28, 2007 Ram Sam (VA) 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
I ordered this table because I already owned the Melissa & Doug trainset. The table is inexpensive compared to the other tables by Kidcraft or other makers. You get what you pay for - because the table is fairly flimsy. It's adequate and does its job, but it's only a little more sturdier than cardboard.
