5 out of 5 stars SUPER SUMMER FUN!!   October 23, 2008
needmorebabe (Waldron, AR USA)
We purchased this pool in the fall of 2007 and set it up in July, 2008.
Mt husband and I spent 15 hours leveling the site with shovels, picks and a garden tiller. Our soil is mainly clay and rocks, so we expected a lot of work and that's what it took to prepare the site. We were exhausted, but our work paid off in a successful pool set-up. I think too many people have expressed their displeasure with site-preparation! Do you bash the PAINT company when you have to scrape off the old paint, and tape-off and cover things you don't want to get paint on? Preparation is a matter of patience! Sometimes prep work takes longer than the actual job itself. Such is the case with these pools. If your yard isn't level, whose fault is that? Intex? Not hardly. This pool was an excellent addition to our back yard. My husband, who can't swim, really enjoyed taking a dip after a hard day's work. My 5-year-old learned to swim in this pool, which is priceless! My 10-year-old lost 5 pounds of baby fat by exercising (although he didn't realize it) in this pool! I skimmed debris while taking a dip each evening with the kids. We spent about $35 on chemicals to keep it crystal clear for 2 1/2 months this summer. Not bad at all. Admission to a local water park for ONE DAY is more than what we spent for a WHOLE SUMMER of fun in this pool! We have carefully blow-dried (with a leaf blower & towels) this pool and put it in storage. We're hoping to get another season out of it in 2009, but if the pool is ruined in storage, we can't really complain. We've more than gotten our money's worth out of it! (& Since our site is already level, it shouldn't take near as much time to set things up next year.)

1 out of 5 stars total waste of money   September 5, 2008

What a piece of garbage. I had a regular above ground pool for eight years. When it broke we got this pool. What a mistake. It was never level and because the pool angles in, algae was always growing. The pool is disgusting. I tried vacuuming it and using shock, but it was never clean like my other one. It took us at least five times to get it level, and my husband is an engineer! I will get rid of this pool and get a new regular above ground pool next year. Don't waste your money-its not fun. Even my five year old refused to go in and he loves the water.

3 out of 5 stars Fun yes. Durable No.   September 4, 2007
Richard J. Martin Jr. (raleigh nc)
It was fun for the two months it lasted (daily usage) but once the temps got to 100+ the Carolina sun took its toll and the plastic started to fade and become fragile.

Could not patch the top ring fast enough as it sprung leaks....

And it didn't fit in the trash can!!!!

My problem with this pool is that the pump is a piece of junk. It is NOT strong enough to circulate the water properly. If you go away for a few days and come back and your water is green or cloudy, it will cost you a fortune trying to get the water clear, if you ever do. The filter catridge has to be cleaned or replaced far too often. Keeping this pool clean is a way more expensive and time consuming job than a more expensive "real" above ground pool. I would venture in the long run, this pool ends up costimg more than a "real pool".

1 out of 5 stars Buyer beware   July 5, 2007

Terrible instructions. Easy Set... if the ground is PERFECTLY level it will be easy. Don't think your ground is level trust me it's not level enough for this pool. 4 weekends wasted. leveled the yard within 1/4" or better and it spills over into the neighbors yard. Save your money.

Warning: Do not buy this pool or anything that resmbles it.
