I was skeptical at first, but the children love it and the young ones always want the big one, but can not use it and they always get hosed!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Stream Machine rules the water fight!   June 8, 2008
T. Soder (Savannah, GA, USA)
Man, for good old fashioned clean fun on a hot day, the Stream Machine can't be beat for having a blast at the neighborhood water fight!

We use a half dozen of these at the local annual Beach Bum Parade on Tybee Island, GA, in conjunction with a water arsenal of six barrels full of ice water. The Beach Bum Parade is a giant outdoor water fight, when every resident and thousands of visitors line up on both sides of the street and rain down watery blasts at float riders and each other.

I should add that the best value for these is when bought in quantities of 3 or more, when you can get free shipping. also, these are offered at discount/sale prices often, so take advantage of that by planning.

Downside is they are NOT made of a durable plastic like polycarbonate -- these appear to be thick actrylic, which is rather brittle/not impact resistant (first year we broke 2 of 6 within the firt hour due to end impact on pavement).

Overall, though, GREAT BIG FAT SOAKING STREAM IN SECONDS, a great water fight gun if you have a large standing body of water like barrelfuls, river, ocean, etc. And even if a few of them break, so what, great fun, pretty good bang for the buck.

1 out of 5 stars Two shipments. Two broken handles.   December 22, 2007

First shipment arrived with handle sheared off in a HUGE box. It was so huge, I could hardly find the product. (Please, save a tree, and ship responsibly Amazon.com).
Second shipment arrived with the handle sheared off AGAIN. This time the handle could not be found in the box. Where it went is still a mystery. Again, the product was shipped in a huge box that was way overkill for a plastic toy. Amazon is my favorite online vendor by far, and they will pay the freight back both ways. But, come on guys. Hopefully, the next shipment will come in one piece, but it is now too late for "Santa" to bring it.
