Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Kids have fun while building life-saving swimming skills! Nine hidden, removable float pads make learning to swim as natural as learning to walk Easily adjustable design provides a comfortable, soft and secure fit Easy to put on and take off Ages 3-6 (approximately 35 to 55 lbs.)

Editorial Review
Endorsed by three-time Olympic gold medalist Josh Davis, this is an ingenious system designed for 3-to-6-year-olds who weigh between 35 and 55 pounds. Under adult supervision, youngsters sandwich themselves between two green foam plates that are equipped with Velcro shoulder straps and slide toggles for adjustable fit. The ingenuity is in the composition of those foam plates: They're each composed of nine slices of foam. As a child's swimming skills increase with time, these float pads can be removed one by one; soon kids will be dog-paddling with the best of 'em--and all by themselves! If it's not a perfect substitute for swimming lessons from a qualified instructor, the Safe T. Seal Power Swimr Swim Trainer does provide a wonderful way for kids to gain confidence in the water. --Tony Mason

5 out of 5 stars Works just great   October 30, 2008
Tim S. (Huntsville, AL USA)
Worked wonderfully. Our daughter was a little under the recommended size, but it worked just fine. Replaced a swimsuit with inflateable pouches...just as good of a product. Actually, better, since we can get her in and out of it very quickly.

5 out of 5 stars Major Confidence Booster!   September 17, 2008
G. Mamaclay
My two boys, age 3.5 and 6.75 yrs old, were insecure in the water, and they would cling to me the whole time we were in the water. This swim vest allowed the freedom to swim and build their confidence. Within two weeks of starting to use these, they are hooked on swimming, do not need me close to them to swim, and are building their swimming skills! And the aquatics club we go to allows these.

4 out of 5 stars Smart way to teach Children to Swim   August 6, 2008
Christine Marengo (NY USA)
I ordered this product for my twin girls who are 3 years old. First, what I love about this product. It finally gave my girls the independence to let go of me and enjoy learning to swim. Unfortunitely after two uses the material began to detach from the side. Another thing was I expected it to have the straps for the shoulders which it showed in the picture but when I received it was not the same one. For now I do have arm floats on the girls while they use this device because until they know how to use their legs and arms to keep them up alittle better they would end up swallowing alittle water with just the device alone. I do expect them to be become better swimmers with this device.

3 out of 5 stars This gave my daughter the courage to swim...   January 23, 2008
I. Sanders (Newcomerstown, OH)
I purchased this for my 2 yr. old and she loved it. It gave her the courage to swim on her own, however, the cords on the sides that are used to keep it tight started to fray and the fabric is rotting after only one season of use. I was hoping that my other children would get some use out of it, but it's not very durable. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the durability, but it did give my daughter the confidence she needed to learn to swim on her own.

5 out of 5 stars I recommend this product 100%   September 17, 2007

This item was a mandatory purchase for my 3 1/2 year old daughter's swimming lessons. She started her lessons with all 9 of the foam pads and as she got more agile in the water, the pads were systematically removed - her confidence soared! In a few weeks, she was swimming without any pads. We bought size medium and she's 35.5 lbs and 3'5'' tall. It fit her perfectly and she had no chafing at all.
