5 out of 5 stars Great Product   December 28, 2007

I bought this for my 4 and 2 year old girls and they love it. Even our older boys (5, 7, 8) have spent some time playing in it. It was shipped in a slightly bulky and heavy box which will require two people to handle. It was easy to assemble. Panels lock together and then a few screws hold everything in place. The playhouse is big enough for 3 to 4 kids to play in and around. I am 5'7" and am able to sit inside on a child's size chair. There are ample windows and doors so that an adult can "play" without actually being inside the playhouse. The construction uses plastic hollow panels which are sturdy once locked in place. We will be keeping this inside but looks like outside would be no problem. There is no floor, so if outside the grass will be the floor. There is a small sink and table attached to a wall on the inside along with a few small shelves. A play phone is also located inside. This was a great purchase for us.

I bought this for my two girls ages 4 and 2. They love it. I also have a 5 year old boy who plays in it. Assembly is required but is very easy. It is basically locking the panels together and then putting in a few screws to keep it locked together. I am 5'7" and can sit inside on a childs size chair. But there are plenty of windows and open area for an adult to "play" without actually being inside. Three to four kids could easily play in and around the playhouse. We are going to keep this inside but it looks like it could be outside without a problem. There is no "floor" so if it is located outside you would be standing right on the grass. When it was deleivered, the box it came in was heavy and bulky and required two people to move around, however, one really strong person could probably manage. There is a small play sink and table attached to the side of the playhouse. Also there are small shelves on one wall. The construction is hollow plastic panels. Once together it seems relatively sturdy. We don't let them crawl around on the roof but my 5 year old was on top without incident. This is also made in the USA.

An absolutely adorable playhouse, I get many compliments on it. My husband was able to put it together in about 1/2 hour and I was able to move it around myself.

This house is so much fun! It went together rather quickly; I put it together by myself in under 20 minutes.

The best part of this house for me is that it is fun for me to add on to while my daughter plays in it. What I mean by add on to is this:

The only thing that I really disliked about the house (and this is a MINOR nitpick) was the door handle. It is a bright white and just clashed with the house. I went to Home Depot and purchased a 'Santa Fe style' drawer pull and it looks tons better.

This all started with the lizard that is embossed on the side. It screamed for color! I painted it with artist's acylic paint and it looks nice. Then I started to paint the cactus and the pots. Then I added a knob on the inside. Then I started to paint the stone siding. Next I am going to add hanging plants like they have in the picture.

The picture I added doesn't have much of the painting (I took it early in the project) but when I am done I'll take more pictures.

A bit excessive? Perhaps!

Nevertheless, we BOTH have enjoyed the house and personalizing it to be one of a kind. The acrylic paint has not come off with the weather nor with a jet-waterhose. Before you go painting it, try it in a hidden place. I would hate for you to ruin your playhouse on my advice! FYI, I used Liquitex Artist paint not the thinner crafty stuff that comes in a bottle.

In short, proceed at your own risk, but know that there are tons of (non-permanet!) ways that you can customize this house. Add house numbers to the side. Put a name plate up. Have fun with it!

The last thing I can say is this: If the price seems a bit much look up used ones online - they almost sell for the same price as a new one! So, when the time comes and you do want to part with it, you'll more than likely get a good price for it.

My daughters birthday was coming up and my husband and I were trying to decide on whether to buy a playstructure or playhouse for her 2nd birthday. After realizing that the slides got extremely hot in the Texas sun, we decided on the Adobe playhouse instead. It was very easy to put together and a great additon for the money. There are no offensive colors and blends in nicely with our back patio. Our daughter is in seventh heaven and so are we as we enjoy watching her imagination grow.
Great fun for both in and outdoor play.
