Kids are able to create a multitude of different drawings. | An Electronic Easel The Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board offers a unique way for kids to display their art, as it lights up drawings much like a neon sign. It incorporates several violet lights under the drawing surface. When lit, these lights cause the ink to take on a vivid, striking glow. The board's surface is reusable -- ink erases in an instant -- making it good for hours of fun at a time. Children can easily display their artwork by using the easel back to prop the board in place. And the board's two separate drawing layers give kids even more room to doodle. Using the glow board's controls, kids can choose to display one layer, or flash between both for an exciting billboard-like effect. Drawing with the Glow Board The glow board's markers come in six dazzling neon colors -- red, blue, yellow, green, orange, and pink. With these colors at their command, kids will be able to create a multitude of different drawings. Perhaps they will envision a galaxy with stars and planets, or render an undersea adventure. The markers have medium tips, which can draw thickly but also offer the ability to draw finer images. A tracing sheet comes with the board to help kids get ideas for their artwork. This toy is recommended for children ages six and up, and requires three AAA batteries (not included.) About Crayola Crayola first began developing its world-famous crayons in 1903, with eight original colors. The company is now the world's most popular manufacturer of children's art supplies and it produces more than 120 different crayon colors. Crayola recently celebrated its 100th anniversary and continues to innovate in the field of children's art. What's in the Box Crayola Color Explosion Glow Board with two coloring surfaces, 6 glow board markers, and tracing sheet.

So much fun! January 6, 2009 Christine Reed I bought this for Christmas for my 9-year old. He absolutely loves it! We didn't find it hard to erase - just had to keep getting fresh wet papertowels, but he was able to erase on his own. He had fun making his own drawings and also tracing the "animated" sample drawing that came with this. We went to the Crayola website and printed off another 20 or so of these "animated" drawings and he has been having fun with them since. I have had fun playing around with it also, and Riley made a "Get Well" sign for his dad last week when he got sick. I would definitely recommend this - maybe it's better for slightly older kids to get the full benefit.
KIDS LOVE IT, WHY NITPICK AT THE SMALL DETAILS? January 6, 2009 JC (USA) My daughter received this toy as a gift and though she had many nice gifts, this one made her day. She plays with it constantly! It is great for creativity and shows in 3D like effect how flip pages work...like for making cartoons. Very cool! The markers have not dried out, at least not yet and though the screen doesn't clean perfectly with a simple swipe of a damp cloth...she hasn't cared in the least. I notice by the reviews that kids adore this toy, as does my daughter, but parents are focusing on little details. I think it is more important that this has creative value and keeps the kids busy! I give it 5 stars for that... I have purchased dozens of "quality" toys that just don't seem to keep the attention of kids like this one has.
Lots of fun January 6, 2009 B. Dyrckarlna (USA) The toy is fun to have and We use it to send messages when we're gonna miss each other, but I was a little disappointed at how easily the boards scratch. Once scratched the lines show up through the lights. But if you can keep it from being scratched it is neat to watch the kids leave msgs. for each other and it also makes a neat and personal nightlight, but we shut it off after she falls asleep.
Fun in the car for the kids. January 6, 2009 C. Beavers (Syracuse NY) I purchased two for my daughter and son. They have a great time with this toy at night. When we ride in the car thats the first thing they grab. The mfg should make the stand more stable than it is. Amazon needs to use more packing pillows to prevent damage. Chris
Not even half as cool as the commercial January 6, 2009 TML4593 (New York) My son got this for Christmas and though the neon lights and glowing are neat, we still have no clue how to use it. I read the directions multiple times but they aren't clear enough and make no sense to me. If we could figure it out it might be fun, but I have coloring books that are easier to use if its just going to be a coloring board... a hard to erase coloring board. Bottom line: The commercial makes this toy look awesome and in reality it will just sit on a shelf, a complete waste of money... but whats new with toys today. My stars would have all been 2's but it wouldn't let me change what I accidentally clicked...
