This spool worked out great with the kite I bought at the same time. I bought this spool because I actually wasn't sure if the kite would come with its own twine or, if it did, how good that would be. The twine that came with the kite probably would have been okay on its own, but I think the spool might have been easier to handle than the twine holder that came with the kite (although I didn't try using that). Plus, this twine was a nifty bright pink color, while the twine with the kite was just white.
