5 out of 5 stars Playhut Dora the Explorer Mega Tree House   October 12, 2008

A-1 gift. This along with the air pump kids beds was a big hit. With gifts like this, you don't have to buy a lot of other junk because kids will spend a lot of time playing with this!!! This hut is HUGE. My kids had 2 airbeds and the Dora vanity in this and there was still plenty of room. Durable!

4 out of 5 stars Dora Dora Dora The Explorer   May 23, 2008

My Wife and I recently bought this product and our child fell in love with it instantly. The inside of the tent is roomy enough to have several children inside. We went the extra mile and purchased a Step 2 childrens kitchen so now the Dora Tent is a tiny playstation for her. I recommend this product because it was easy to put together and loads of fun. Holla!

2 out of 5 stars EZ-Twist Technology = Not-so-EZ Headache   December 6, 2007
Chris Maden (Phoenix, AZ)
We bought this product last year for my daughter. She absolutely loved it. The tent also seems durable, although we never got to test the durability too much. Why? Because we returned it. Taking this tent down was awful.

The tent was very large, and we were unable to leave it set up in our daughter's bedroom. When it came time to take it down, we could not get the "EZ Twist" tent to twist correctly to fold down right. I had multiple people try together, following the instructions to the letter, and no luck. It would never stay twisted correctly, so even if you twisted it down to a compact size, it would spring back out again. After 20-30 minutes, it just became too much of a bother to deal with the thing, so we coiled it up as best we could and shoved it back in the box as it sprung apart into a twisted nightmare. Back to the store it went.

If you're going to set it up and leave it, then I think this is a great product. If you need to take it down frequently, I would advise against buying this. I found it much less frustrating to take down a real tent than it was to "EZ twist" down this product.

5 out of 5 stars My 2 year old helped me Fold it!!!!   May 25, 2007

We found this toy at a garage sale for $10. It was in great shape and once we cleaned it up, our two year old was SO excited to play with it. She loves everything DORA! It is a wonderful and spacious place for her to use her imagination and play for hours. When it came time to put it away, I went to the Playhut website for directions. Then I read the reviews here on Amazon. Sorry, but not much help here either. Lots of folks that gave up too soon. It's a shame to get rid of a toy just because the parent can't figure out how to store it. So, when I returned to the living room, my 2 year old had it flattened out on the floor. All I had to do was fold it in half so the front and back house frame sections were together. Then, like the online instruction showed, I put my foot on the bottom, pulled the upper left corner towards the bottom right corner and the spring action did the rest. In 30 seconds, with the help of my child, I had it in the bag and put away. My advice; let the kids help!!
Good Luck.

I just bought this for my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son. They love playing in it together. After reading all the other reviews I thought I was going to have problems folding it back down. I tried a few times then tried watching the video, but I still had problems folding it. Then I tried folding the door, my comes off and folds up. I was able to see exactly how to fold the tent. After that it was really easy to fold. Now I can put it up and take it down anytime.
