Fun for baby! July 14, 2008 N. Chambers (Garfield Heights, OH United States) I am very happy that my son loves this swing. He was just 6 months when I first put him in it but he was already 30 inches tall. He fit well in the straps and his head rested nicely against the back. He can even reach the ropes to hang on. The downside is that it is very difficult to get him into it. It should have a molded bump in front of the crotch to help hold baby while you get his arms in the straps. There are slots throughout the plastic to help rainwater flow through and I feel secure when he is all buckled and swinging away. I'm not sure how long the ropes will last so we'll be sure to take it down in the winter.
Buy something else June 29, 2008 cguillau (LIVERPOOL, NY United States) My 15 month old daughter hated this swing. It has shoulder straps and a lap belt to hold her in but the shoulder straps constantly cut into her neck on both sides causing her to want to slide down in the seat for more comfort and when she did, it hurt her neck and she wanted to get out right away. Also I didn't like the fact that there is no bar across the front for her to hang on to. I recommend you try another swing.
AWESOME SWING! April 26, 2008 Melanie Christian (Alabama) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have a 2 month old son who weighs 8lbs. (He only weighed 3lbs at birth!) He LOVES to be outside. I took him outside and sat in my daughter's swing on her swingset with him in my lap, and he loved it. I realized that I needed to find some kind of swing for him. I researched every single baby/todler swing that I could find. Most of them looked like they would be very unsafe for an 8lb baby. (Especially since they all say they're for 9 months and up!) When I saw this swing, it caught my eye because of the 5 point harness. I still thought that it would be too big for him though. I decided to buy it anyways and give it a try. When the swing came in, I immediately put in on my daughter's swingset and put my son in it. The harness fit perfect. It adjusts just perfect for my 8lb baby. The buckle is firm and that secures my thoughts about my son not being able to unbuckle it when he gets older. The ropes are the perfect length, too. The swing hangs just above my daughter's regular swing on her swingset. I can sit in her swing and push my son easily. I am very pleased with this swing in all aspects. I strongly recommend this swing for anybody who has a small baby that loves the outdoors. Don't be fooled by the age recommendation of 9 months and up. A newborn can use this swing safely. I'm sure that we'll be able to use this swing for months/years to come! Nothing about this swing upsets me. It's PERFECT!!!
Ropes are not weather-resistant September 18, 2007 Jamie Canter (Austin, TX United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have had this swing for a year now and it is not usable at all. For the past 6 months, the rope has dried up so much that if you touch it you get splinters. I have had to wrap tape around it just to be able to use the rope to swing my child with or to let him touch. This swing may look good, but trust me it will not last at all!
Won't last for a big or tall child June 1, 2006 Heather Nieckarz (Eugene, OR United States) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
We bought this swing when my son was 9 months old, he absolutely loved it and I was thrilled with the safety harness. We put it away for the winter and brought it out when he was 18 months old and he didn't fit, he is only 25 pounds but very tall. Not recommended for the big or tall child. We now have to buy a new toddler swing.
