Just what we wanted (needed) September 16, 2007 Steven M. St Hilaire (Burlington, Vermont) Our 1 year old is a climber and we needed something for him to play on so we can have a break. He loves it and it's just the right size for him. Instead of going up the ladder and down the slide, he likes to go up the slide and slide down the ladder. They designed the ladder so that if some kid thinks it is a slide it is still safe. I read one review about the ladder getting filled with water after it rains. That is true, but I solved that by drilling 1/4" weep holes in the footholes, and then drilling some at the bottom so that the water goes into the plastic ladder and then weeps out the holes in the bottom. When our son wants a few seconds of quiet time, he goes and hides in the tunnel. It's great.
Good choice for climbers! June 27, 2007 Ryan's mom We purchsed this item after looking at many others; this clubhouse works well for our 20+month old son, climbing is not too difficult and when he does climb up unaided, he is one proud little boy! Safety-wise it has proven 5 stars, walking through the clubhouse is safe. The stools to sit on have been 'added toys' to his play as he likes to roll them down the slide....!
Putting it together took about 45-60 minutes by my husband and a little help from me. Hard to find some of the screw holes at times but we had no problem making our own when we gave up looking for the assigned spot! Overall I recommend this clubhouse, and the more little friends to play in it, the more fun it is.
LOVE IT! - PERFECT SIZE! April 29, 2007 NuMom (Downingtown, PA USA) My 20 month old LOVES his playground! The climber, slide, tunnel, bridge, captain's wheel, and lookout scope are all at the perfect height for him to enjoy. The best thing is he can do everything by himself! He loves the phone and putting it back on it's holder as well as playing with the hands on the clock! The table is an excellent feature for snack times and drawings. I love the idea of writing on the chalkboard to help him learn new words (or to draw funny pictures on too). The chairs/stools are a little high for him, but I worry about him wanting to climb on them and possibly getting himself into danger so I am taking them away until he is a litle older anyway. He started using the steps as a slide to0. It's was hilarious! My husband and I assesembled this in about a half hour once the parts were laid out. I recommend using a cordless drill, flat head (see notes) and a mallet (NO HAMMER - you can hurt the plastic). We had a bit of a hard time with assembling the tower roof supports but my husband used a flathead screw driver to help align the pins while using a mallet to drive it in. Manual Sliding seemed impossible without the additional "lift" support. But that was the only trouble spot with assembling. Overall we couldn't be more pleased. Definently the best playground for toddlers!
Perfect for toddlers, but you'll need a swing set, too! April 5, 2007 Jamie A. Neidig-wheaton (Herndon, VA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
We recently purchased this climber for our 21 mo old and he absolutely loves it. It was assembled by two people in less than an hour and the instructions were easy to follow. The cordless phone is a nice touch and my son chatters on it while he's climbing and sliding. The climbing wall and slide are the perfect height for a two year old, but I wouldn't recommend it for a child over four years old. Although my son loves the climbing wall and slide, there isn't a whole lot more to do when he's playing by himself. Be advised that the tunnel and "clubhouse" are a lot more fun with two or more children (and it's way too small for an adult to climb in). We will also be getting a swing set, as the clubhouse doesn't fulfill that need. Overall, it's very well made and a great product!
You Won't Go Wrong With This One... May 21, 2006 Luv My Baby (Southern CA United States) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My husband and I were in search of a good climbing outdoor toy that was safe and durable. After months of searching and checking out reviews, we found this clubhouse climber. We liked it because the whole climber itself is enclosed and we felt our son was safe and would not fall off. There is a tunnel underneath, a bridge, clubhouse complete with phone, table and chairs, there is even a small chalkboard, clock and skylight inside. It is just perfect for a two-year-old. It is always a hit when his little toddler friends come over that they don't want to go home. I recommend this, it is really a great toy and just what we wanted.
