Fun, Fun, Fun July 3, 2008 Kathleen Tuschhoff (paola, ks) Ordered it 6/24, it arrived 6/30, that's awesome for free shipping! We set it up that night after work and didn't come in the house until 8 p.m. My son is 1 week away from turning 4 and myself and my husband have used this slide and love it. The landing at the bottom of the slide is a little rough for us big kids so I am going to listen to another reviewer who put play mats at the bottom, we have some that will work nicely, we also put strips of outdoor carpet around the edge of the pool and at the bottom of both the climbing wall and the tunnel. What a great toy, we are really going to enjoy this and having the neighbor kids at the house is no big deal. Should work great for the summer b-day party we'll be having in a couple weeks.
Not so great June 24, 2008 David Hudgens (St Paul, MN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is our second summer with the slide. It is very hard for one person to set up or clean or put away. You can't fill it as deep as you see in the pictures advertised, but the kids love it anyway. Dogs like it, too. However, be warned that if you don't clean it well or check for tears or leaks, you'll have a huge headache trying to fix it or contact customer service. The number provided no longer works, and we can't find the manufacturer online. I don't think this slide was made to last that long, which is sad since entertaining kids is a hard enough issue. I've had to spend extra money buying patch kits and what not. This will also destroy whatever grass you have, so if you like grass don't buy this. It's also a huge waste of money in regards to the water bill. The pool doesn't really hold that much water. Fill it to where you think it should be a comfortable level and the sides will give way.
Fun, but not durable June 21, 2008 Christopher Mabe (Dickinson, Tx United States) This slide is great fun for the kids. They were very excited about it and loved the curved slide and pool at the bottom. This is nice because I have children of different ages that can enjoy different features of the slide. The little ones can play in the pool and the big ones can slide. But....The second time we got it out, we noticed a 4 inch place where the seams had come apart; the thread had just ripped or broken and there was a hole leaking air. As a result, the slide didn't inflate to the maximum amount and the water leaks out of the pool. This is not the type of problem that can be patched; it is a defect on the slide. We are contacting customer service; we'll see how far we get.
Great Fun! June 11, 2008 Peter Dykhuis (Grandville, MI USA) This is an extremely fun toy. I have a 2 year old, 5 year old and 6 year old. All three love the slide and so do the neighbors as well. My wife has also gotten on the slide and enjoyed the fun a few times. I weigh a bit more then her and have not dared get on the slide yet. If you look at the promotional pictures of the slide and the happy faces believe me that it is really that fun. Pros: 1. Great fun. 2. Seems pretty durable. 3. Fills with air very quickly. 4. Colorful. 5. Comes with plenty of repair patches. 6. Repair kit works! 7. Moderate water usage. Not much more then a sprinkler head while the water is running. Cons: 1. Difficult to assemble or put away as one adult. Needs two to handle easily. 2. Does take a long time to dry. 3. Bulky. It does not fold back into anything the size that could fit in the included bag. 4. Customer support is non-existent. I emailed weeks ago with a question and no answer yet. Also I have called several times and the phone number has always been busy. Not good. 5. Pool takes an eternity to fill up if only used with the sprayers. Another reviewer recommended storing in a plastic bucket. Not a bad idea. I use a 80 gallon Rubbermaid Seat and Store unit. This seems perfect.
SO DISAPPOINTING! June 1, 2008 Jess Spizz (IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We just got his on Friday for my daughter's 8th birthday. We were all SO EXCITEd especially after researching them for a few weeks. We set it up precisely according to directions and took a few test runs-seemed awesome. We set it up yesterday for the party. we had about 8 kids 8 and under on it for an hour. The seam at the bottom of the slide blew and it was all over. I can not tell you how disappointing this was to the kids and to me. This looked like the coolest one out there even with a baby slide for toddlers to keep my nephew entertained and a wading people for those that aren't ready for a slide. Naturally it's the weekend so I have no idea what the company will say-they provide an 800 number and write all over the paperwork that you can NOT return it to the retailer once it is open-you have to go directly through them. In the meantime, we would like another one but I doubt I will go with Banzai brand again. My neighbor has one by six flags and this is her second summer using it. The funny thing is she said ours looks more sturdy. Go figure.
