5 out of 5 stars Great Canopy Float   August 31, 2008
Pinata (California)

We recently bought the Float with the Sun Canopy for $24 on Amazon. We had been using a different Swimways Float without a Canopy for 2 months and the Swimways Floats are just great. We needed the Canopy for the Sun protection.
The Baby is 6 months old now & weighs 16 lbs.
The Canopy is PERFECT. The Canopy has 6 snap clips to attach to the Float. The Canopy is stable. It maintains its position overhead or it will "snap" in the titled position. Excellent sun protection for the baby that won't keep her hat on.

The Float inflates and assembles Quickly in just 2 minutes. You need to pinch the air valve with your teeth or fingers in order to open the valve flap while blowing up the rings. Some people do have an issue inflating these toys with the one-way Valve (with the internal Flap to trap the air from escaping). It is hard to inflate/deflate if you do not pinch the valve. The Float deflates and folds nicely into the small carry pouch.

The Float allows baby to support and stabilize herself with her arms on the top side of the inflatable inner ring. The Float works great! It supports her well and she can still splash in the mesh area on top of the float. She feels comfortable in it. She moves her legs, kicks, splashes with her hands, and has Fun.
The Float is Very Stable.

Educational? Well, we have been teaching her to swim and the kicking exercises are simple when she is in the Float. She is supported by the float and we can move her legs and encourage her to kick.

3 out of 5 stars Good float, helps get baby used to water   August 25, 2008
Monique A. Mugg (West Olive, MI)
I bought this for my son when he was 7 months old, we have a large pool and I wanted a way to get him in the pool, but I do not like the cheap plastic floats, they pop easily. This float was around $17 at Target, only $2 more than the plastic ones. My son did not seem to like the water, but it had nothing to do with the float, I liked this float also because it had a canopy on it, our pool gets sun for most of the afternoon and evening, but the canopy broke after a month of use, and we only used it once, maybe twice a week. I do recommend this float though, it is still functional.

5 out of 5 stars great for babys safety   August 22, 2008
Mynana (Paterson, Wa)
This is a great float for babies. They stay out of the sun and still can be close to you in the pool without getting hurt.

5 out of 5 stars My daughter's favorite   August 12, 2008
Happy Mom
She just loves to go to the pool with this. We love the canopy to block some sun damage on her skin.

5 out of 5 stars Safe float for little babies   August 8, 2008
Noah and Gabey-Baby's mom
This float has been a safe way for my son to join our family in the pool. It is very stable on the water and has a nice canopy to shade him from the rays. It is well-made also. It is, however, a little deep for him even though he is a rather large baby. There is a lot of room in the seat so I have to place a towel behind him to keep him from leaning to far back. He seems very comfy in it. It is a little difficult to get him out on my own so you may want to have someone hold the float while you pick the baby up, otherwise their little feet get tangled in the mesh seat. He is 6 months so it will be perfect in a month or two when he is a little larger. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product, we use it all the time.
