Amazon.com Product Description
With the Hasbro Transformers Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet, your child can become the mighty commander of the Autobots and defend the Earth against the Decepticons. Equipped with this movie-authentic helmet, kids don't just look like Optimus Prime, but also miraculously alter their voices to sound like him. Recommended for ages 5 and up, this helmet is truly the ultimate headgear for any Optimus Prime fan.

This incredibly detailed voice changer helmet is constructed of durable plastic. View larger. View Side.

Authentic Design
The Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet is incredibly detailed, resembling Optimus Prime right down to the grooves on his forehead plate. Constructed from durable plastic and finished in vivid colors, this helmet is virtually indistinguishable from the Optimus Prime in the movie. If your child isn't using it as a toy, you could easily put it out as a display piece. The helmet also features easy-to-adjust straps, which fit the helmet comfortably over your child's head.

Transform Your Voice
This helmet uses an incredible voice modulator system to transform your young hero's voice and make it sound just like Optimus Prime's. It doesn't matter whether you're a little kid or a full-grown adult -- when you speak through the microphone, your voice will instantly be changed into the rich baritone of the Autobots commander. In addition to changing its wearer's voice, the helmet also features sound effects and has five different voice clips from the movie. Unforgettable lines such as "I am Optimus Prime" can be played at the touch of a button, making this the ideal role-playing toy.

About Transformers
The Transformers began as a Hasbro toy line back in 1983, featuring toy vehicles that could transform into robots. The toys soon inspired an entire universe of fictional story lines, pitting the two factions of Transformers -- the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons -- against one another. A live-action movie based on the Transformers was released in 2007 and has continued the toy line's extreme popularity. With toys such as the Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet, kids can bring home the struggle between the Autobots and Decepticons.

5 out of 5 stars halloween mask   November 23, 2008
M. Pedroza (San Diego ,CA)
I bought this mask because i was involved in a competitive halloween costume contest and what won me first place was this optimus prime mask. What convinced the judges was the voice changer that made me talk like optimus prime.. I said " The dog has lubricated on my foot" and "I wish to stay with the boy" great gift for any transformers fan 2 thumbs up

5 out of 5 stars No reference to reality or common sense   August 6, 2008
A. Vanegas (KY, USA)
This product has been a favorite at many parties I have had and it makes every one of all ages grasp at it in a crave reminiscent of a preschooler wanting candy.

3 out of 5 stars Two boys' review: Transformers fans will love it, other kids will tire quickly   August 6, 2008
Jared Castle (Roseburg, Oregon United States)
This is a great toy for a weekend, for a costume party, for Halloween. Older kids will enjoy it more than younger children. The helmet has straps but they can only do so much to keep it upright.

The pre-programmed voices are best. I wish there had been more of them. The voice changing feature works but it makes you sound more like a generic robot than a Transformer.

This was a gift for our 4-year old son. It was a nice gift and made for a couple days of fun but he had more fun with a handful of Transformers action figures.

Now, give this to a 40-year old Transformers fan with a case of nostalgia and he'll likely rate this helmet five stars.

5 out of 5 stars I AM METROID PRIME   July 4, 2008
Marcos Hallam
I wanted this for some time now.. $[...] at radioshack was a bit much so amazon saved my day. I'm 23 and I had too much fun annoying the friends with this already. At first it was hurting my nose but after adjustments it fits great and all i want is an Ironman version now!

Great gift, my father borrowed it (weird) and it remains at his house, i think he prank calls people with it.
