When looking at this product, I assumed it was made in China since it does not say where it was made. With all of the lead paint recalls from Chinese made toys, it is hard to consider something which is designed to be put in a child's mouth that is made in China, Especially with high-temperature water which is highly reactive.
So I went to True Value Hardware and found one (Fielder Keepsakes) which is made in the USA.

We've only got photos of our grandchildren to judge from, but my wife's first response was to marvel at the apparent quality shown in the photos. The kids seem to like it too. Elder grandchildren loved sets like this when they were younger. It connects them with the elegance of an age gone by.

This is a very nice item for young children. Although made of porcelain it is quite durable and , in my case, my grand daughters played more gently and mannered than usual. Excellent for the imagination and a subtle etiquette tool. The seller was quite responsive to a clarification call and the item was delivered as promised and in perfect shape.

Our granddaughter loved this birthday present from us. She just turned six. We accompanied the set with a book, "Come to My Tea Party" by Sandy Lynam Clough and it appears that Kate will enjoy entertaining her dolls and stuffed animals for a long time.

My daughter was over joyed to get this for her birthday! The only thing that she wasn't happy with is once the plastic is removed there is nothing to keep the tea set from breaking in the wicker carry case.
