Terrific first walker! December 2, 2008 Rachel M (Brooklyn, NY) We gave this walker to our son for his first birthday present. As soon as he received it, he was zooming down the hallway. There are controls that allow parents to adjust how easily your child can push the cart, so there's little risk of him falling flat on his face, and once the excitement of pushing the cart wears off, he can play with the colorful blocks. I imagine that our son will use this to cart toys and books around once he's a steady walker. This was a big hit, and well worth the money!
Lots of smiles October 27, 2008 K R Bard (Madison, WI USA) Our little one wanted to walk at about 9 months old and so we searched for a baby walker that would not easily tip and was made of safe, durable materials. If you're looking for the same this is your item. My only complaint is that the wheels squeak, but some may find this charming rather than a defect.
Great for 9 month old and 3 year old! October 6, 2008 Stephanie V. Rider This is really a great walker. If you've had one of those plastic ones you know how quickly it can take off from your baby even if they're ready to walk. This one has adjustable resistance which I don't remember reading about when I bought it but it is a great feature. It is really sturdy and you can't beat the price when you compare it other wooden walkers. Plus you get a great set of wooden blocks that my 9 month old and my 3 year old boys both love.
Safe and sturdy walker! September 1, 2008 K. Hansen (San Diego, CA, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is one of the best and affordable walkers on the market for the high quality it is. It's solid and sturdy wood with non-slip wheels (good for tile and wooden floors). It's well balanced and has an adjustable handle-bar for two heights, as well as a tension wheel to adjust the speed that your little one is walking. Forget the plastic ones--the wheel base is usually too small so they kick the wheels as they walk, they're too light-weight so topple easily, and the plastic wheels are inefficient and slippery on anything other than carpet (which has to be thin or the wheels will get bogged down). My daughter has used this walker since 10 months of age and she loves it! She could have used it earlier, but it took me some time to find the right one (we had borrowed an awful plastic one and learned our lesson when she toppled over while pushing it). We'll get years of use out of it as it's also fun to put things in and push around.
Best toy we have purchased May 13, 2008 Jane T 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 11month old daughter loves this walker. we looked everywhere for a wooden walker and are really pleased with the Plan Toys quality. The wheels can be tightened so that less confident walkers do not go too fast, even on a wood floor. As they get more confident the wheels can be loosened. The bricks are very durable and although she is too small to build with them yet she loves to bash them together - they even stand up to some chewing! I am sure this is toy that will last - great purchase!
