Compact, bright, absolutely great! November 8, 2008 Jhs (USA) This works great on a bike, with several alternative flash patterns as well as continuous on. It also is great for walkers, being light and easy to clip to clothing. I also clipped one to my dog's collar so I can see her when walking at night.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! September 28, 2008 Justus Veen (Michigan) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I saw the Bell Night Shield bicycle light, read the reviews, ordered it. When I received the light I looked it over, saw that the way it was put together that there would be a good chance of it coming apart as the reviews stated so I taped it together with duct tape as the way to keep it from coming apart as stated in the reviews. Then I mounted it on my bicycle and as soon as it got dark enough took it for a test ride. The light is definitely probably the brightest light of its type I have ever seen, making it a very good piece of safety equipment.
Bright Sweet looking light April 29, 2008 Bobby Tan (Santa Clara, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very Bright and can be seen from the side. Has a nice old school look for a Cruiser.
Cheap and bright, what more can you ask for? April 5, 2008 Justin Rossetti (Salt lake City, UT, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for my wife's new bike, she commutes at night. The reflector (with the lights off) is of questionable function, but turn it on and it's very bright and very visible. We've yet to run into the problem others face, the lens falling off, so I haven't yet wrapped tape around it. It's bright enough that considerate drivers give us a nice wide berth, which makes night riding a lot less stressful.
A good light at a low price March 22, 2008 Philip J. Bohlken (Caldwell, Idaho) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I frequently ride at night in open country. What auto traffic comes up from behind always gives me a wide berth, which means they see me. A friend who lives in the area where I ride has come upon me a couple of times. He has told me he sees me from half of a mile away with this light. The batteries seem to last nearly forever, too! Update: The photo actually shows the light upside down. The light can be removed easily to take with you. In time the snap on clip wears enough that the light will fall off of the bike when you hit a severe bump, like a railroad track. I solved that problem by removing the light from its mount, squirting hot glue into the mount tracks, and quickly sliding the light into place. It has never come off again. I have no need to remove the light and take it with me. This did not hinder battery replacement, either.
