Nice bag for MTX racks November 29, 2008 C. Schenker (PA) I didn't realize how convenient the MTX system was going to be. This bag easily and securely attaches to my MTX rack. While it's not big enough to hold clothes, it's perfect for transporting smaller items like a bike lock, tools, a lunch, wallet, and a few other small items. If you're not trying to transport clothes, it's perfect; otherwise, I'd recommend going with an MTX bag with side panniers for the extra storage. Also, I'm not sure how well this would attach to non-MTX racks.
Too small. November 6, 2008 Jeremy Calleros (MIA,FL) Nothing particular wrong with the product, but I realized it was just too small and exchanged it for the larger model. I like the product line and the convenience of the quick release rack and bag.
Practical bike carrier October 13, 2008 Richard E. HEDMAN 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was quickly attracted to this bike carrier set-up because of it's universialty! The spring clamp is practical for clampling on a can or bottle, etc. The quick attachment & disa-tachment of the bag is a pretty slick set-up. You can sling the bag over your shoulder if you need to clamp something under the spring clamp! And, of course you can easily carry the bag with you when you don't want to leave it with your bike. GOOD DESIGN! Dick Hedman, Sawyer, MI

Topeak MTX Trunk Bag EX I have used this bag for six months and am very happy with its use. It holds my cable lock, water bottle, and books. I use my bike for a short commute to work and around town. I also have the explorer rack by Topeak. I would recommend the rack and bag combination. They make a sturdy pair and the bag is easy to remove to carry into the house to pack a lunch for the next day at work. I have ridden a 26 mile bike trail and did not notice any problem with the extra weignt. The bag fits into the track of the explora rack and locks in place. A larger topeak bag could be purchased for extended travel and will also slide onto the rack. Topeak has designed a great product. The bag and rack came from Amazon in just a few days, as always I have been impressed by my purchases from Amazon.
