The Mars 3.0 is constructed in a tough, water-resistant case and utilizes seven super-bright red LEDs. About Blackburn In 1975, Jim Blackburn set out to design stronger, lighter, more innovative and more reliable cycling products. The first were bags and racks designed for touring. From there, Blackburn grew. Over the next 30 years, Blackburn's spark of innovation would lead to many revolutionary products, like the first high quality aircraft aluminum rack, the first dual stroke minipump, the first oversized mountain minipump and the first dual stage/dual stroke floorpump just to name a few. For 2005, Blackburn's creative spark is burning brighter than ever. And as we head into our 30th year, Blackburn is re-dedicated to designing smart, reliable, no nonsense accessories that are essential to your riding experience.

heavy front light; shines in eyes September 5, 2008 L. Rodman The rear light is great, though I do worry about snapping the clip (mentioned in other reviews - its hard unflexible plastic vs flexible plastic or metal for a more solid build). However, I have issues with the front light: 1) it's HUGE. and HEAVY. bobs up and down a bit because it doesn't attach super tight. 2) the top isn't covered well, and it shines in your eyes at night a bit. not the best design.
Good lights September 2, 2008 Robert L. Nichols (TN) I bought this light set about a month ago and am well pleased. The lights are bright and battery life is good. I haven't yet replaced the batteries and I use the lights about 15 minutes each day. The only problem I've had is the front light is loose on the handle bar and wants to turn up. This should be easy to fix with a rubber strip. I passed a police officer (he was stopped) this morning and when I saw him later, he said he could see my light good all the way to the top of the hill. He said it would be hard not to see it.
A good Combo from Blacburn! August 29, 2008 Robert Krawczyk (Chicago, IL) The combination of front and rear light is a good deal; and both were very easy to install. the front light is fairly large, and bulky ... but the 3-way lighting option is very helpful for those times you ride in traffic. The 2 variations of blinking come in handy based on darkness and traffic conditions (though the high-speed blink is dis-orienting to me). Buy it, as a good set at a fair price!
Excellent Light Set August 22, 2008 N. Brown (WV) I have two sets of this product. (two bikes) The dust storms (overseas) here require a strong light to produce good visibility. This set does it without a problem. I highly recommend and would buy again with no hesitation.
I see the light..lol August 20, 2008 DAISY (NYC USA) Love riding with these lights cars can see me from far away as well as pedestrians. Nice bright lights and batteries last long! Great buy
