1 out of 5 stars Sled   April 28, 2008

I got this thing for my son, for christmas. Didn't snow that year but the next year it did. Trust me they can remember anything they want to. When we pulled it out for the first ride, hit a tree and snapped the ski off the front. You would think something for kids would be a little more durable. only went about 10 ft and that was the end of this toy

1 out of 5 stars Both Blasters Broke the First Time out   January 18, 2008

Both Flexible Flyer PT Blasters broke the first time we used them. The steering worked well the first couple of times down the hill but then the steering bracket broke as well as the steering wheel shaft on both sleds. This is a good concept it just needs to be stronger. There wasn't a weight limit anywhere on the sleds that I saw.

3 out of 5 stars could be better   January 12, 2008

I bought this sled for my 4 year old. It does go fast, almost too fast for him. The breaking system is a little difficult for my son. He often forgets to use it. It goes the best in our plowed driveway. My husband had a difficult getting it to go together. The skis are supposed to snap into place. They have never fully snapped in. It is not as big a hit as we thought it would be.

5 out of 5 stars The Coolest Sled on the Hill   December 31, 2007

If you're willing to spend $60 bucks on a sled, this is the one that you want. It's fast, steers very well and has breaks. It's also going to turn heads on the sledding hill. My boy busted it out yesterday at a busy snowhill and everyone was eyeballing it. It was also the fastest thing on the hill.

I agree that it was a bit difficult to snap together (I assembled it inside), because it is made of rugged, thick plastic. But I think that that heavy duty plastic also makes it a quality product. I feel like this was a good purchase and I would definately buy this again.

5 out of 5 stars A must for the quivver   December 17, 2007

This steerable skidoo-like sled is a great addition to the normal arsenal of sliding equipment. The steering works very well, even at higher speeds, allowing perfect lines through trees, off jumps, around other sledders and across the hill should the slope become too steep. The side skis are long enough to distribute weight well and allow very zippy speeds -- it is hard to pass this sled in icy or hard pack conditions. The sled is also very sturdy and rugged enough to withstand not only big air and hard landings, but also the inevitable bashing into a fence or tree. I found it pretty difficult to assemble because the hard plastic was cold and very rigid, and the joints required some pounding to lock in place...but it might be easier if done inside when the plastic is warmer.
