3 out of 5 stars Just Okay   September 3, 2008
Donut (Thousand Oaks, Ca.)
I bought this scooter for my son who is about to turn 4. The ads said adults and kids alike would love it.
Well no way would an adult be able to ride this. The handlebars and deck are way too small. For the overall size of the scooter, the deck is tiny.
I liked the idea of front and back hand brakes for my kid. But when I bought a Razor pro for me to ride with him, he went right for the razor and won't let go of it.
I think when he gets a little bit bigger, he will like the Kent. But I will say that you should have a pro put it together because of the brakes.
Also, the quality is prettty low, the only way I would recommend buying this scooter is if you can get it really cheap, and include the cost of putting it together.
Also, you can't really adjust the handlebars.
I would look into getting a Razor Cruiser for a kid, before buying this one.
It is true that it looks like it can go over rocks and dirt, but I don't think the quality is good enough to last long doing that.

3 out of 5 stars SMALL   June 24, 2008

THE KENT SUPER SCOOTER IS WAY SMALL! I BOUGHT IT FOR MY 10 YR OLD BOY! IT LOOKS LIKE IT WOULD BETTER SUIT A 4 YEAR OLD!

4 out of 5 stars AWSOME   June 17, 2008

This scooter is great. It steers well, brakes on a dime and it rides really well. My girls love this scooter!

4 out of 5 stars Glad I Finally Made This Purchase   June 15, 2008
A. Small (Madison, WI)
I was hesitant to buy this product because of some of the comments about how hard it was to assemble the brakes. My assembly experience consists of putting furniture together and hooking up electronics, so I wasn't sure that I'd be able to get it right. However, it wasn't really that bad. The assembly time was about an hour, and 45 minutes of the hour was spent on the brakes, which I was able to do by myself. It just requires a little patience to find the "sweet spot". The instructions are helpful, but they are misleading in spots. Some things I just figured out by trial and error. I rode the scooter after I had assembled it, and it's a lot of fun. I'm tempted to keep it for myself! I only gave it four stars (out of five) because some of the decals are already coming off.

4 out of 5 stars Great scooter!   June 3, 2008
MW (Miramar, Florida United States)
I bought this for my son on his sixth birthday and it was a big hit. Every kid in the neighborhood wanted to ride it when he got it and arguments still break out regarding who gets to ride it next (we've had it about a week). It is very well made and it appears as though it will last a long time. Both of my boys, 11 and 6, prefer this one over the Razor or Fuzion styles.

Assembling it took about 50 minutes, 20 for the scooter frame/wheels/handle bar and another 30 for the brakes. Assembling and setting the brakes, as others have mentioned, will drive you bonkers. I still don't think they are set the way they are supposed to be, but they are as good as I was finally able to get them. The instructions are extremely handy for setting your drink on while doing the assembly so as not to make a ring on your furniture, but that's about it. Overall, though, I do recommend this scooter. Great price from Amazon, too.
