1 out of 5 stars thought this would be the best for dora lovers- wrong!!!   July 20, 2007

Luckily I found this at Christmas time for a low price so i didn't waste too much money. Within a few days the paint for the lips and teeth came off the face. Because the nature of short hair it now sticks up everywhere like bed head. (Not the biggest concern to me, she is a doll.)After a few months of forgetting the doll's existance she became intereting agian only to be dissapointed. The toy did not work even after changing the batteries. If the paint didn't come off so easily or the hair get matted the doll would look unused. This is not a durable toy at all. It broke with in six months or less with little playtime.

5 out of 5 stars Great entertaining toy   May 25, 2007

We got this gift for a [...]. She loved it and takes her around when she visits her friends!! Lot of features, it's fun to play with, and the size is perfect as well as the price. Great deal!!

3 out of 5 stars She so badly wanted it, but now....it sits.   April 23, 2007
B. DuVal (East Coast)
My daughter who just turned 5 has passionately wanted this for over 6 months. So, when she received it for Easter, she was thrilled...but then bored with it within a couple of hours. For the 9.99 I paid for it, it was worth making her wish of having it come true, especially since she was amazed that Santa told the Easter Bunny.

The doll basically repeats the same things over and over. Perhaps if they had combined other features, such as hair that grows, or allowing the doll to be much more flexible to sit and "do" things like her other babies, or even making her face look softer and cuter, or making it more interactive. I don't really know. But she nor her cousins of the same age seem to care anything about it. It does look kind of cute in her playroom, and the outfit is very bright and colorful, and even though she doesn't know what the spanish means, she is hearing it and likes that.

3 out of 5 stars It's ok.   March 9, 2007

My daughter begged for one of these for Christmas. I told her Santa said "It doesn't really grant wishes." She insisted and then got mad at the doll for not granting wishes. It was funny but kinda sad too. The doll is not attractive and is kind of "Chucky" like but it does stand up to quite bit of abuse.

4 out of 5 stars Fun toy at a great price!   February 9, 2007

I got three of these dolls as gifts for my nieces and my cousin ages 2-5. The doll is fun because Dora's face and eyes move which the two year old found amazing. The songs that Dora sings get a little repetitious but that is from an adult perspective. I saved a lot buying them here rather than at larger department stores. Also, the toy includes batteries which is a huge plus! For a Dora fan, this is a great gift.
