Pretty Stinker November 4, 2008 John F. Shumanis (Maryland) 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very atractive stinker....meaning good looking and sturdy like Sarah Palin but stinky shoes.....the tires do have a strong odor that seems to last despite airing assembled cycle on a porch for several days.
Love the tricycle. Wheels do smell though. October 20, 2008 Love This (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this tricycle for my niece's 2nd birthday. I wanted to buy her the classic Radio Flyer but after reading the reviews about its questionable safety I decided to try the Roadmaster. I love it and so does my niece! It is a bit too big for her at the moment but she loves being pushed on it in the meantime. It has the look of the Radio Flyer but seems to avoid the safety issues that other people were concerned about. However, I will agree that the tires smell pretty potent for the first few days. Otherwise, no complaints. (And even I could put it together which means pretty much anyone can!)
cool!!!!!!!! October 15, 2008 H. Okada (new york) i got this for my 2y6mo girl. she loves it.you have to keep the bike out side, smell is terrible.
Just like the Classics September 13, 2008 Lonewolf57 (Michigan) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Well,I have to say that Super Saver Shipping from Amazon, com was GREAT.Very impressive and faster than expected. From ordering date to delivery was 7 days and tricycle was packaged securely and tight.Very nice! Upon opening the actual manufacturer box that held the tricycle, theres a definite smell of rubber/paint which may be offensive to some buyers.I did'nt mind it so much but be aware of this.It sure smells 'new'.The instructions that I recieved are adequate, but the instructions will assemble a 16" or a 10".Just be sure that all parts are there.Mine was missing all washers, which are very important to keep the nuts from coming loose.I had to furnish my own. Assembly is asy with an adjustable wrench and a flathead screwdriver or a philips head. You'll need a hammer to pound the locknuts down on the rear axle.No big deal. We put it all together, added handlebar streamers,a horn, and a bell.Needless to say,our grandson loves it.Its a shame that Roadmaster is made in China now,but designed in the USA. I'd rate this tricycle at a 8 out of 10.Needs better instructions and missing washers.
