A Great Investment For The Price October 10, 2008 Mom of Three (Los Angeles, CA) I decided to buy this bike trailer after reading all the reviews and conducting an extensive search for the perfect bike trailer for my family. When the package arrived I was able to put it together myself with little effort. It hooked to my bike nicely with no problems. Other reviewers have complained that the cover did not snap on easily. And that they felt it needed to be "stretched". I didn't experience that at all. The cover snapped on easily since day one. After reading other reviews I was concerned for my children's comfort considering this would be used for a 4 year old and a 2 year old. They both fit in nicely. My 4 year old is tall for her age, and she did not complain once of being uncomfortable. Both children seemed to fit nicely in there with no complaints. I did make sure to have the strap that goes under the seat tightened snuggly, and I believe this helped them not to slide into each other in the middle. I took this on cement as well as on dirt paths and the ride was very smooth. I felt no drag from having the trailer attached as some other reviews mentioned. In fact at one point the kids were so quiet and the ride was so smooth that I forgot they were being pulled behind me. The storage area in the back is really nice. I was able to put some snacks and jackets back there with room to spare. The trailer folds down easily for storage. It does not fold completely flat because of the back wheels, but the whole trailer itself does fold flat. It is very easy to store. I would definitely recommend this trailer to anyone who is going to be doing light to moderate riding with the kids. This is my first bike trailer, and I feel I made a good decision buying the InStep Quick N EZ Bike Trailer.
A great bargain! October 5, 2008 Kathleen M. Kephart (Willow River, MN United States) I was able to put this trailer together in less than 1 minute with no tools. The only required tool is the wrench to put the hitch on your bike. This is a great deal considering the price of a Burley Brand trailer. I do have to warn other customers this trailer is as a new KIA car is to a new Lexus (Burley). If you have kids that together weigh over 100 pounds I really recommend getting a bigger or higher quality trailer. The trailer works like a charm for what I intended it (taking my 18 pound dog on rides and buying groceries). The fabric is very cheap and I suspect it won't last that long even with proper care. Short of the fabric ripping the steal frame seems really solid. The trailer is easy to handle. If you are not mechanically inclined you can have someone else put the hitch on your bike, once its on its really easy to slide the trailer and safety pin in. The trailer is easy to fold flat and fits well in my subcompact's trunk.
Depends on your child/ children. September 13, 2008 LA (Chicago) Wanted a trailer that we could afford now rather than save up for (such as the Burley). So I got this online after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, it's not working out for us. The trailer is great. Easy to put together and take apart to put in an SUV. However, our 3 yr old daughter and 1 yr old son don't tolerate touching each other for more than a minute, so everytime I've used it, there's been fighting. Our son won't even get in it anymore. So, either I have to wait and try again in 6 mos. or sell it and wait to buy a different one. They tried the Burley at the store and both seemed to have plenty of space and a better separation of their sitting places. Oh well. My mistake, not the product's. Though I still can't rate it better than a 3 because if it had more separate seats, it would be better. You get what you pay for, right? (A friend has this and her girls sit in it rather nicely.)
Great trailer September 13, 2008 Satisfied Mom (Kansas) We love our bike trailer! If you don't want to spend a lot of money, this one is great! We use it mostly for our 2 year old, but sometimes our 5 year old ends up in it too and they both fit okay. There is plenty of room in the back to put groceries, backpacks or whatever.
made for young children September 10, 2008 N. Cannon (Utah) I bought this bike trailer so I could take my children with me when I went biking. My daughters are 5 and 3. My 3 year old fits just fine but my 5 year old is pretty cramped! If you have a really young child or children, this will work great for you but if they are 4 years or older, you may want to consider another product. It works GREAT! but it is made for children about 3 years and under.
