Product Description Your baby will have hours of fun gobbling up Fisher-Price Peek-a-Blocks with this adorable hippo walker that converts to a ride-on as baby grows. Pull the yellow seat up to form a push bar, and then press it back down to let the riding fun begin. Push the hippo friend along, and he'll "gobble" the blocks from the floor. There are five included Peek-a-Blocks that will keep little hands and minds occupied with bright discoveries inside the blocks.

My son loves pushing this around November 6, 2008 canamstoney (Redding, CA United States) I bought this 2nd hand for our son, who would sit on the floor and cry until someone helped him walk. He is 10 months old and LOVES pushing this up and down the house. The house we are renting has very cheap carpeting with no cushion whatsoever. It creates no drag on the hippo, but the toy doesn't seem to get away from him either and he only occasionally has trouble pulling himself up to it. The gobble feature works ok if you have enough speed or give it enough time. DS is not really interested in gobbling toys or playing with the blocks. He just wants to walk, walk walk. My only complaint is that he can't really steer it (even if he knew where he wanted to go!). So when he hits a wall, he yells for one of us to turn it for him. Thanks to other people who have posted safety concerns. That has not been a problem for us, but it is good to be aware of the possibility.
Loads of fun for little ones to chase the pets. November 5, 2008 Cristina A. Canseco (Minneapolis, MN) We received this as a Christmas gift last year, it came with the regular sorting blocks not the pee-a-boo ones. Right out of the box Ethan loved it. We was already cruising and this allowed him to run all over the place. He loved running after his aunts dog. Now that he is 20 months he does not use it as much and never really rode it unless I was pushing him in it (which is bad for my back). I did like that the sorting blocks can be used with his other set and can stack them as tall as he is. 8)
so glad i bought this! September 21, 2008 Gina Buckley (Goose Creek, South Carolina) this was bought when my son was about 10 months old and was walking with the assistance of people or furniture but not by himself. it was hilarious the first time he walked with this toy and got going so fast he just fell flat. within two weeks he was walking on his own. he still loves this toy and he is only a few weeks shy of 3. my now one y/o daughter also loves this toy. we were out of town for four weeks and she took her first steps our first day out of town. she had taken maybe 10 steps total in those four weeks and within a weekend of being home and playing with this toy she was walking everywhere by herself about 50% of the time. after two years of being ridden, pushed, pushed into things, stood on etc it has held up very well. it has been enjoyed by my kids as young as 10 months old and as old as my 4 y/o niece. it's not ideal for being a ride-on as it just doesn't "ride" as well as i feel like it should and it's a little small however that does not stop my big for his age son from riding on it. ours gobbles the blocks with no problem along with other small toys but neither of my kids has ever cared about the gobbling feature. i would most definitely buy this again!
Not the best option May 5, 2008 K. Bowers This toy sits around our house. I'm trying my hardest to prevent the clutter so I'll probably end up giving it away. The fact that the wheels don't click, lock or slow down makes it hard for my toddler to learn to walk. The toy gets away from him and then smack...right on his face. One time of that and it was all over. I also thought he'd enjoy the toy factor, but he's shown little interest. Luckily I got it for a discounted rate over the holidays. However, I'd recommend choosing another option for the "learning to walk" phase.
sturdy but small April 4, 2008 Bo (MN) This hippo is cute and can sort of "eat" the blocks. It's good for a small 9 months old kid. It's a small toy though. It's not for kids who have very long legs. I like it because it's very sturdy. My 10 month old like the blocks a lot. It's not worth more than $[...] in my opinion. I would recommend it if it's on a big sale.
