Fantastic Scooter September 8, 2008 Kelly (Medford, OR) This scooter is absolutely fantastic. I bought it for my 3 year old son but my 2 year old daughter can't get enough of it....she isn't able to ride a tricycle yet but she can use this scooter all by herself and LOVES it....highly recommend this product.
A great outside toy!! September 1, 2008 Patti Margarita (Howell, MI United States) We got this for my daughter for her 2nd birthday with a helmet. She started using it about 3 months later when weather started getting better outside and she got it right away! I am so excited to see her enjoying herself. Since most trikes and big wheels are too long for her, this was a perfect way for her to be active outside. I highly rcommend it.
son loves it July 9, 2008 rowo (san jose, ca) i bought this after my 3 1/2 year old kept eyeing a neighbor on his ripskate. my son loves it. he is so willing to put on his helmet and pads. we take it for a ride to the park. and i can easily hook the handle bar over my umbrella stroller if he chooses to walk instead. the same neighbor gave us their old skateboard with a steering handle. my son still prefers his radio flyer. it has good steering and a wide base for him. someone remarked about its tipability. no problem. my son's taken a few falls--all within my watchful eyes. but the knee/elbow pads have always protected him. then it quickly got to a point where he would fall on purpose to scrape his pads. and he loves showing off the scratch marks from his pads. it's a great beginning scooter for a tot.
Excellent scooter for a 4th birthday gift! July 6, 2008 Robert L. Pierce (Seattle, WA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I gave this to my youngest son after he watched his older siblings on a regular two wheeled scooter. The time it took from removing from the package to usage and familiarity was the time it took to carry it down the front steps and on to the driveway. Any child who has seen or attempeted a two wheel scooted will be able to use this instantly. The product is solidly built, the only possible weak spot would be the fold down hinge for the handle. This is how it is shipped and it also comes in handy for taking it elsewhere (It has been to the playground, tennis courts, baseball field, parking lot, basically anywhere with a semi flat surface). One caution: The three wheel design does give our son more confidence to go faster so the crashes, when they happen, are more spectacular. Buy some extra Band-aids.
great first scooter!! July 4, 2008 K. Vrana (Houston, Texas United States) My mom got two of these (one red for boy and one pink for girl) when we visited her this summer so the kids would have something to play with at her house. We had to bring them home with us because my 3 year olds couldn't give them up! They are safe and easy enough for my 3 year olds to use on their own. I highly recommend. Oh, and they are easy to pack and store.
