5 out of 5 stars Lots of laughs   October 24, 2008

This game is as fun as the friends and family who play with you!
Better than scattergories

5 out of 5 stars Buy this for your next family gathering!   October 17, 2008
Sandy Kay (Minnesota USA)
This has become one of my favorite games and is great for family gatherings because the more people playing (and the better you know those people), the more fun it is. And it is fun for a wide variety of age ranges. Last Christmas, everyone from my 15-year-old niece to my 70+ year-old mother played and laughed together. I've also played it with a group of adult friends.

The game is deceptively simple: one player reads a word (and the definition given) from a green card and you choose the one of your red cards you think that person might think is closest to the green card word. Sometimes you have a card that fits perfectly and sometimes nothing in your hand is remotely close. The fun comes in seeing what everyone else chooses and trying to convince the green card holder to choose your card.

The reason this is such a good game for families is that you know the other players better -- so you play serious cards for the ones who take the definitions seriously and goofy cards for the ones who always choose the oddball cards. And sometimes I give myself the giggles when I look at the cards in my hand and try to pick the right one to play.

If you are looking for a game for teens and older to play at a family gathering at the holidays, I highly recommend this game. This edition is not for children (unless they have advanced reading and vocabularies) but I see there is a junior edition.

3 out of 5 stars Fun game for parties   June 19, 2008

I like Apples to Apples, it's a good game to have at parties. It doesn't require a lot of thought, people can come in and out of the game, the hands are quick.

5 out of 5 stars So much fun!   June 12, 2008
S. M. Larson (OK, USA)
I absolutely love this game! I am not really someone who loves to play games, but this one is great! Most of my friends don't really play many games either, but this game goes over well with everyone! It's even versitile! I was just at a bachelorette party where everyone but the bride-to-be was given cards and she had to pick which of us had given her the best card to fill the blank in sentences that the hostess had written up beforehand. So for instance, we had to choose one of our cards to fit "Kelly thinks that Jason is _____" and Kelly had to choose between "frightful", "yummy", "a highschool bathroom", and "smelly". I bet there are lots of other creative ways to use the game too!
