5 out of 5 stars fun way to pass time   September 27, 2008
shopsalot (CA)
Great game for kids 12 and up. Good for them to figure out different stratagies to make four in a row. it is also fun to play because it doesn't last FOREVER like other games. This is a nice sturdy set.

4 out of 5 stars Good travel game   July 8, 2008
Rob (Colorado Springs, CO, United States)
The pieces are a bit small (1/2" diameter), but work well for small hands. My kids are a bit too young for it now (6 and 3 years), but had fun with it anyway. They do OK with adult guidance, but can't seem to grasp the concept well enough yet to play on their own. We haven't had the opportunity to do so, but it seems like a good travel game for slightly older kids. 7-12 is probably the right age category, if I had to guess.

5 out of 5 stars Portable Connect 4? Nice   May 30, 2008
Bret A. Chernak (California)
It's connect four... been around since I was a kid. And it's completely portable... 5 stars and nothing less... great for taking on trips when you don't wanna pack the world but wanna bring along some extra fun.

5 out of 5 stars Fun for Adults or Children   March 19, 2008
M. Patterson (palo alto, ca)
I got this game for my Godson, thinking it would be a neat toy he could travel with on family trips. I also got one for my husband since we like to travel ourselves and he loves Connect Four. It really is a lot of fun. The game has the same number of spaces as the regular version, but all the pieces are smaller. I really like how the red and black pieces fit in a netted pouch so you don't lose them. It's convenient to zip up and take with you on a trip. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the outside - I would have preferred a plainer cover, but honestly it's fine. Great deal on Amazon too - much cheaper than getting it at the toy store!

5 out of 5 stars great travel toy   July 14, 2007

My son (just turned 5) really enjoys playing with his 7 yr old sister. They both are great at strategizing by creating their own rows to win while also blocking each other. It's a good way to make children use critical thinking skills and work on focusing continually. This is great for summer, play it outside, play at the hotel, bring to a restaurant while waiting for your food to arrive. This is really worth buying (and I bought it for under $10 from Amazon a couple of months ago, look for a sale!)
