Fly Fusion Pen Memory Expansion Cartridge May 21, 2008 Susan M. Wells (Cincinnati, OH) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got the Fly Fusion Pen for my little girl about two months ago. I contains about 64mb memory on the pen itself. To put all of the programs and additional mp3 songs on the pen for her, she really needed more memory. So, I purchased an additional 64mb pen cartridge, and now she has all of the space she needs for all of her educational programs, plus room for some music to listen to, also. I love this product because it encourages her to learn, and the additional memory cartridge just makes it more functional. Plus, the cartrdige is so affordable that you can't afford not to get it to work in tandem with the pen. Two thumbs up!
Fly fusion memory cartridge January 14, 2008 S. Thompson (St.Paul, MN) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
this is exactly what i expected it to be, nothing fancy, just what it says. their are so many things that you can put onto your fly fusion pentop computer, that if you want a lot of stuff, it will not all download to the pen. the pen itself holds 64 MB of storage, and this additional memory cartridge also holds 64 MB of storage. so you are pretty much doubling your memory capacity. you dont replace the old one with this one, you just take off a little peice of the pen (on the top) and put this on it instead. the pen was actually designed to have this, so it wont be any heavier, any bigger, any longer, or anything. it will be exactly the same size since you are replacing a plastic peice of the pen, and replacing it with this. (so if you have a case, it will still fit perfectly!) I actually own the "fly fusion blackjack version" which is the fly fusion pen, but all black (only sold at target). I have yet to find a memory cartridge that is black to match with the pen, but hopefully leapfrog will come out with that soon. I still bought this though, even though this is gray, and the pen is black. sure, its supposed to match the pen (and if you have the gray fly fusion, thats what its meant for) but it doesnt look too out of place being on the black fly fusion. so if you do have a black one, and really want this, dont let the colors get in your way. it really doesnt matter.
I learned my lesson January 2, 2008 J. Melahn (Indianapolis, IN) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I thought that this was going to be bigger then the memory that came with the pen, I learned that they are the same size. So basically it is just an extra cartridge in case you want to keep the second one with you so that when you run out of room on the first you have the second one. I was hoping it was bigger so I wouldn't have to switch them out.
