Amazon.com Product Description
There's no longer any reason to hide your journal under the mattress! With voice recognition, password protection and intruder alert features, the Radica Password Journal keeps your innermost thoughts and dreams safe and secure -- wherever you leave it. Designed for girls ages eight and up, this electronic journal makes keeping secrets fun.

Safe And Sound
Your secrets are safe with the Password Journal. To prying eyes, the pages of the journal will look blank. Your writing is only revealed with the glow light and magic pen, which respond only to you. The journal automatically opens with voice recognition and your password. It also recognizes voice commands to activate the reading light, calendar, alarms, and more. When others try and access your secrets, the journal informs you of the intruder alert.

Fun Design
Much more fun than a regular notebook diary, the Password Journal is brightly colored in lavender and pink, and comes equipped with a dual light switch, loose leaf paper for entries, and clips to personalize your journal. Made with durable, hard plastic, the journal has a fold-over flap design that looks like a cross between a laptop and a trendy school binder. With additional storage space, there's room for things like the Personal Journal Scrapbook (sold separately), which records and plays back personal messages.

Keep your secrets safe in this stylish password journal.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't take password   November 9, 2008
I was so excited about getting this diary for my birthday. I went into my room so no one could hear my password. I came out and asked my mom to try and get the diary open. Guess what? She pushed the button and it just opened up. Didn't even use the password. We tried 4 times with new passwords. Nope, anyone can open it. It is going back to Target today. I am extremely disappointed!

1 out of 5 stars HORRIBLE Quality! Doesn't last & is upsetting when it won't work!   September 14, 2008
flea (usa)
Horrible quality, great concept. My daughter loved the idea of this journal when she got it. It worked for about two weeks before malfuncting. i patiently read the directions for troubleshooting tips to no avail. it never worked again--my daughter was crushed when we had to return it. we opted not to try again with another one due to the numerous negative reviews for similar problems. examples of problems: stops recognizing your voice and won't open. starts to repeat commands when you've already followed its directions etc... (annoying and what a shame)

5 out of 5 stars 6 yr old daughter FRUSTRATED   September 13, 2008
M. Caines (Atlanta, GA)
My daughter received this diary and loved it! Until she forgot how she said her password and started crying every time she couldn't remember it. I have taken it from her several times because she cried from so much frustration. When she can get it open she has a blast!

3 out of 5 stars OK but...   August 27, 2008
D. K. N. Palmer (Jamaica, WI.)
The diary is okay but there is very little space in it for actual writing. The note pad is really little and will be finished quite soon. The fun of it was really that it has the electronic password.I bought it for a 9 year old a couple of weeks ago and she is a little bored by it already.

3 out of 5 stars What evey 8-12 year old girl wants, but some flaws in the product.   July 30, 2008
Anjana Nigam (Atlanta, GA)
My daughter was thrilled when she received this as a gift for her 8th birthday. All girls her age suddenly develop a desire to have secrets which they can keep and whisper to their diary, and this was the perfect present which fulfilled that wish. After her party was over, she put away all her other presents but carried around this journal with her. She told me that she will entrust all her little secrets to this journal from now on.

However, the password system of the journal does not work very well. Although she recorded her password carefully, any high pitched sound of the same duration would open up the journal. It opened up even when I laughed and she was not thrilled! Added to that, she tried saying the password she had recorded and the journal did not open even she said it more or less the same way as recorded before!

So after a couple of days, when the novelty wore off, my daughter did not want to use it as she said her secrets were not safe any more in this journal.
