Amazon.com Product Description
Welcome to another incredible Lego world! The Lego Make & Create Cafe Corner features all the activity, colors, and architecture of a real town building. Realistic decorations include cafe tables with umbrellas, striped awning, hotel sign, trash can, street light, bench, and more.

Create and Expand
Recommended for ages 16 years and up, this Lego model is more than just child's play. Like a good puzzle, it's fun to assemble the 2,056 pieces of this model. Built in sections, it can even be taken apart in three sections for easy storage and transport. The top two stories lift off to reveal inner rooms, staircases, and handrails. Perfect for Lego-maniacs and collectors with other sets, the modular design of this town corner allows urban planners to expand the street with a neighborhood or a hotel. Or, with connectors at the base of the structure, four Cafe Corners can be joined together.

Create a real town building complete with umbrellas, street lights, and awnings.

The top two stories lift off to reveal inner rooms, staircases, and more.
An Active Town
Developed in co-operation between consumer requests, fans, and Lego designers, this detailed and realistic street corner scene features special and rare Lego colors and pieces, and also incorporates new building techniques, including an opening front door and door top decoration. The kit includes three mini-figure townspeople -- two males and one female -- as well as neighborhood-themed elements such as a dustbin and a bike. The interior and exterior are different from each other, and special Lego colors in this set include dark blue, dark red, medium blue, and transparent red.

Built To Last
Built completely on mini-figure scale, the street base is a 10 by 10 inch square and the building stands more than 14 inches high. Durable plastic Lego construction makes this micro-scale town building sturdy and reliable.

About LEGO
The world-famous building block set encourages a unique type of play that is fun, creative, engaging, and challenging. Taking its name from an abbreviation of two Danish words, "leg godt," meaning "play well," LEGO has been inspiring children and adults to do just that since 1932. Seventy-five years later, LEGO is one of the world's largest toy manufacturers, with products sold in 130 countries.

5 out of 5 stars I love lego   October 30, 2008
M. Frey (Las vegas)
This is the coolest one in the set of 3 buildings. So many intricate things that make it look so real

5 out of 5 stars Excellent family fun   September 18, 2008
L. Nagy (Houston, TX USA)
Intricate design and 2056 pieces might intimidate some, but this toy is rewarding, fun, and beautiful with an oh-so-much attention to detail. My 9-year-old lego lover son picked it for his birthday and we had a great time building the Cafe Corner. I did not need to help him all that much - you really don't need to be 16 to be able to put it together, but I could not resist... Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Great Package!   September 14, 2008
Jon Akers (Gainesville, FL United States)
I have been collecting and building Lego sets for years, and this set and series is quite frankly the best they have ever put out.

The details and intricacy that goes along with this set is amazing, and the interlocking of this set with other sets from the series makes it a must have for a street side representation.

5 out of 5 stars The best Lego set I've assembled in years!   September 11, 2008
Bill (Aurora, IL USA)
I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this Lego set. The beauty of the finished product, the sturdy construction, the far beyond clever use of standard parts to achieve amazing realism (the awnings, the 45 degree angled door, etc). I have been building Lego since before the mini-figure was created, and I have to say that many recent sets offer little substance in favor of tall, flimsy structures that give the appearance of volume. This set is the opposite! Everything is solid, detailed, and built with real bricks you can actually re-use! My hat is off to the designer of this set, it is just a thing of beauty and a joy to build. Keep 'em coming!

5 out of 5 stars Great set from Lego you got to own   May 21, 2008

Although I am more interested in collecting Star Wars UCS for their outstanding build experience, I can;t help but to be awed by the design of this set. I ordered this set - which is extremely hard to come by in my country - after getting another amazing complementary set, the Green Grocer. In comparison to the Green Grocer, the Cafe Corner lacks an interior, which serves as an exciting side project planning for one.

The price at Amazon is a bargain plus free shipping, compared to some of the ridiculous prices Lego speciality shops are asking for, given the exclusivity of the set. I believe that these sets will go down in Lego and the Lego collector's history as two of most sought-after building sets. So get them while it's still available. You'll kick yourself for not doing so.
