Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Giant Blokus is the ideal family game because it's REALLY BIG! Oversized game pieces are easy to handle and place on the giant 400 square inch game board. It is perfect for indoor and outdoor use. Enjoy big fun at home, on picnics, at school or anywhere people gather for exciting, challenging game fun. 3 times the playing area of the regular Blokus game board. Players take turns placing pieces on their board, each starting from their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces. The photo displays a comparison between the original Blokus and Giant Blokus. Please note that the original Blokus is NOT included.

5 out of 5 stars From classroom to living room   November 23, 2008
V. Miller
I originally bought this game for my classroom. The students (16-21) loved it. It was very interesting to see students who were not generally successful with more traditional classroom games thrive with this game.

I am now considering purchasing a second copy of this (and Blokus Trigon) so that I can have a copy at home and at school. It's an excellent addition to your collection.

My only concern is that with such small pieces, they could get lost very easily in my classroom. I was pleased to see what I thought was a very reasonable missing piece policy on the internet. I have not had a single piece go missing, but in the future, I will use plastic bags for my classroom copy of the game to prevent loss.

5 out of 5 stars It's awesome!   November 16, 2008
This game is great! It's a game that can be played with 4 people and different colors. Even though it might be easy to lose some pieces it is still fun.You will find it hard to put the right pieces at the correct time.

5 out of 5 stars Fun and addicting   November 16, 2008
Shooting Star (Vermont)
My son received this game as a gift when he was 6 years old, and it still is his favorite game 2 years later. He will actually play against himself to figure out new strategies. My son has played so much at this point that it is impossible to beat him. The game has very clear instructions and it doesn't take long at all to learn how to play. you can play with 2 - 4 players, with more players making it more interesting. The object of the game is to use up as many of your pieces as possible while at the same time blocking your opponents. The pieces are all different shapes which I learned quickly can become challenging. The great thing about this game is that because of the shapes of the pieces it really is different every time you play.

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT   November 13, 2008

My 6 year old grandson plays this in school and loves it so much he asked for it for CHRISTMAS. So I bought one for each family that has young kids. Anything that brings a family together, and is educational is is #1 in my book.

This is an excellent game to play while traveling. We have the larger version of this game and the whole family loves it! The travel version is great and we take it with us in the car everywhere!
