My son LOVES I SPY!! January 3, 2009 taneaone (Florida) I purchased this book for my son because he loves all I SPY books. So what better than a talking I SPY book!! The games are fun and are offered on selective pages but it gets my son thinking and lengthing his attention span by looking for the item. Overall WE love I SPY!!!
Traditional I Spy with something extra as well December 26, 2008 R. Waddell 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good book for the LeapFrog Tag system. It combines your standard I Spy book reading experience of looking for a short list of items in the text, with a few extra games - similar to some of the suggestions you may find at the back of an I Spy or a Look and Find book. My child loves I Spy and Look and Find, so this is a great title for him. I think it might have been nice to have other items on the pages named rather than silly sounds, but it is probably part of the reward system for finding the correct word . . . or perhaps a limitation of the storage on the device. I purchased the Tag and three books and it seems like it will only hold a couple more.
I spy... More phonics, please October 13, 2008 S. Shin (Iowa City, IA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this book along with the Leapfrog Tag Reading System for my three-year-old daughter. I thought it would help her learn words (or names) and its phonic sounds (I am not a native English speaker). I think it is a good book for kids who just start to learn words. The downside of the book is that it sounds words only if they are a part of "I spy..." sentences. There are a lot of things in the I SPY pictures but everything has only some kinds of music (or effect) sounds, not names, except those in the sentences. So, my daughter only can learn names and phonics about three or four for each picture unless I teach her the names of objects personally. Maybe, English-speak families do not understand its necessity but I wish the book has more record for objects' names. It would be a lot easier for her to learn names of things.
Great Book August 18, 2008 Nicole S. Lonergan 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book was a great addition to the leapfrog tag. My boys love the regular I spy books and this version is even better, all the pictures are clickable and it's a great help explaining the words and pictures for each section. Love it!

My grandson loves I Spy things. When I saw this book, I decided that he would learn alot from using the book and I was right. He is over the top about finding eveything on the pages by himself and reading at the same time.
