 Gooffy, but cute January 6, 2009

This toy is a bit weird. The martians are easy to make, but they are tiny. The funny part about this toy is what to do with all the mini (tiny) martians because only 3 fit in the compartments provided by the spaceship. This a cute toy, but rather spacy.

I bought this for my 3 and 7 year old boys. They had so much fun making martians, and there was NO mess! The martians came out of the molds easily and the time to dry (3-5 minutes) is accurate from the instructions. If the gel got on their hands it rubbed right off and the spaceship makes a great piece for both play and organizing all the parts. I would recommend this to anyone especially those who like moonsand and play-doh but hate the mess that goes along with it.

My kids (7 & 5) got Martian Matter Alien Maker for Christmas. I never review anything but just had to say what a WONDERFUL toy this is! I had a blast setting this up with my kids. I helped with the first 'Martian'. I found the whole process very interesting & fun. After I assisted with the first 'Martian', they now play it on their own. It holds their attention. They are learning to follow steps on their own. Even the process of the 'Lava solidifying in the Mud' is a marvel to them. They've made plenty of 'Martians' & we have lots of 'Lava' leftover. BIG PLUS: The spaceship conveniently holds all of your supplies. It's a keeper! Do not hesitate to buy this :)
