I'm very disappointed in these airsticks I bought for my sons age 6 and 4. Right out of the box, they didn't work very well. First of all, they barely register a drum sound in the air, and even tapping on a surface they only register a (electronic) noise sporatically, rather than every beat that we drum. I was hoping this was an alternative to real drumsticks that my son could actually learn to play rythms but they are simply a cheap, barely working toy. We finally just cut off the electronic part and use them as real drumsticks.

My brother has been playing the drums for over 15 years and is constantly tapping on stuff with his hands. Now that he has an iphone and an ipod he can now play along with his istix. Great purchase!

Toy gives 5 minutes of fun, but for the kid who thinks they need a drum set, this should either solidify that choice or completely convince the parent that the kid just needed these drum sticks to try it out. Sound isn't that great on the stix.

I bought this for my 3 year old, I know the age is for 5 years old but I thought he could use them. Not only could he not use them either could I. The drums are attached to a amp like thing by wires. That makes it hard to play the drums. Then the amp has background music and it is so loudyou can't hear what the drums are doing. I am very disappointed in this product. I looked like such a good toy, boy was I wrong. I returned it as soon as I could.
