Amazon.com Product Description Winner of the 2007 T.O.T.Y. Award for Best Girls Toy of the Year, the Hasbro FurReal Friends Smores Pony seeks to fulfill every little girl's dream of having her very own pony. Smores is a miniature pony, and will react to your child's loving care in incredibly realistic ways. More than three feet tall, she will even allow your child to sit on her for a pretend ride. Recommended for children ages 4 through 10, Smores Pony will quickly become any little girl's most precious companion.
Smores has built-in sensors all over her body, which enable her to respond in amazingly lifelike ways. View larger. | Just Like a Real Pony With Smores, your girl will feel like she is interacting with a living, breathing pony. Smores is soft to the touch, with a fur coat and mane that feel just like a real pony. Her markings and color are modeled after an actual pony. Smores also has built-in sensors all over her body, which enable her to respond to children in amazingly lifelike ways. If talked to, she will cock her head toward the speaker quizzically and blink her eyes. She will also react to petting, showing her enjoyment by rubbing her head against your child, twitching her ears, and swishing her tail. In addition to her convincing movements, Smores also makes a medley of different sounds. She'll neigh and whinny just like a real pony, and snort when she wants attention. Should the room become dark, she will begin to whimper, letting her owner know that she needs a consoling hug to know that she is safe. Saddle Up! At over three feet tall, Smores is more than strong enough to support a rider up to 100 pounds in weight. Your little girl will be overjoyed to sit on Smores's back and pretend to go for a ride. Although she doesn't move her legs, Smores will bump up and down when her hindquarters are tapped, simulating the feeling of a real pony ride. She will also make clomping sounds with her hooves while riding. Your child's imagination will soar as she pictures herself out on the plains with Smores. Caring for Smores Much like a real pony, Smores loves to be groomed and fed. Children will keep very busy taking care of her. When given her special carrot, Smores will chomp and munch on it. She also enjoys having her mane groomed with her brush. Along with her brush and carrot, Smores comes with a special adoption certificate, which will give your little girl a real sense that Smores belongs exclusively to her. What's in the Box FurReal Friends Smores Pony, carrot, brush, halter and special adoption certificate.

My daughter loves her horse!!! January 6, 2009 Stephanie S. (Alaska) This has to be the best christmas present my daughter got. She is always playing with the horse, brushing it and sitting on it. She absolutely loves the horse.
Very cute! January 6, 2009 tplo My 5-year-old daughter just had to have S'mores for Christmas. She wanted Butterscotch last year, but I was able to talk her out of it. This year she told me she didn't want anything else, only S'mores. Well, she loved S'mores Christmas day, but hasn't played with her much since. She still likes it, but I don't think it's as much fun as she thought it would be. For the money you need to be sure that it's really what the child wants. It is very cute, though, and the animal itself seems to be very durable. I'm thinking of making it a "saddle" and getting some real horse/pony accessories that would make it a little more fun to play with. For the money I wish it came with a few more accessories. Also, one con is that the halter it came with is already falling apart. It's made to come apart easily (I'm assuming it's a safety thing so a kid can't get it stuck on their neck), so that's annoying, but now the metal gromets are already falling off. Overall, I'm glad we got it because my daughter would have been disappointed otherwise, but only time will tell how much she really likes S'mores.
Every Little Girl's DREAM! January 4, 2009 Chicago RN What an adorable toy!!! This S'mores pony is SO much cuter than Butterscotch and it is too adorable to watch kids react to S'mores' actions! This pony is so lifelike I find myself talking to him when he whinney's at me as I walk through the room. Silly, I know...but I can't help it! My daughter got this pony for Christmas and pretty much did not pay attention to any other toy the rest of the day. She lost the carrot already so he can't really munch on anything other than your hand if you desire to feed him. She brushes him and loves to ride him. I'd say the thrill factor dwindles with this toy rather quickly since he doesn't do much. But she does spend a little time each day either riding, feeding or grooming him. I'm really pleased with the quality of this toy and I think it will be a priceless addition to our home for years to come. My 4 year old son is also enjoying him. Really cute!
Santa did GREAT!! January 2, 2009 Hot Mama (Katy, TX) My 8 year old horse fanatic asked for this last year, but was told she was too big. This year she asked Santa for it, not us (because she knows it is expensive). She promised not to ride it, just to take care of it (awww!). The look on her face Christmsas morning was priceless! Kids love this toy. It is easy for her to turn off/on. The mane is thick and the fur is soft. The electronic sound is a little loud when the movement is activated, but she doesn't care at all. It is big, but not as huge as I thought it would be and fits in her bedroom easily. And, I have found her sitting on the pony and it has been durable thus far. Any horse lover will enjoy this toy and it would be well worth the investment.
Not sure it is worth the money January 1, 2009 Nancy Guyer (Illinios) I bought Smores for my 5 year old daughter this Christmas (2008) but now that I have it and have seen all that it can do I am not convinced I would buy it if I had saw it first in a store. I thought the horses back end moved up and down when it was pretend walking but only the neck moves. It sheds alot. The motor noises are loud and takes away from the "realness" of the pony. My daughter has a hard time getting it to go in the "walk mode." My husband assembled it in another room Christmas eve and he said it was a good thing we didn't give it to her in the box because it was headless. And to be honest I was a little freaked out the first time I saw it put together and really thought my daughter would be scared of it but she didn't seem to be. Basically she uses it like a chair to sit on and play her DS. Also the neck seems to be very fragile and I read a review where the neck got floppy and broken and I could see how that could happen easily.
