5 out of 5 stars Fun AND Educational   January 6, 2009
Belladee
This is a great game! It teaches number and letter recognition, counting, colors and sportsmanship. The game also grows with your children, giving beginner and advanced cards and play.

My son loves to play this game and as an adult I enjoy playing with him.

You pick a card and get either a letter, number or color. you then have to pick a box with the matching letter, amount or color. you have a little "key" and open the box. If you get a ball you put it in the treasure spot and when all the treasure spots are full you get a little treasure.

It is a nice game and fun to play and from playing this game my son can now recognise the numbers 1 2 and 3!

5 out of 5 stars Get ready for adult free time as this will entertain the kids   January 3, 2009
Mom of 3
Are you ready to have some alone adult conversation, then get this game. The toddlers can do this game alone after one showing of how to do it. It was very easy to show the kids what to do and they had fun doing it several times on their own. Like other posters mentioned, you can cheat and see the balls, the cards can bend and you need to keep track of the balls (or use the push button to open the treasure chest) but over all it is a great game. Just teach the kids that you are doing a group effort and you won't have any problems about some being able to sometimes see which slot the balls are in. Good buy for 3-7 yr olds.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, Non-Teduious Game for Preschoolers   December 30, 2008
vamommy (Midlothian, VA United States)
Okay, when I say this game is non-tedious, let me clarify that I mean it is non-tedious compared to most preschool games such as Candy Land, Hi Ho Cherry-Oh, et al. It will be a little tedious the 20th time your tot wants to play in one evening, but it will be much less tedious than most games.

The balls have a wonderful tactile texture that makes them fun to hold and the colors are even fun. Adding secret tunnels, surprise doors, and a magic key make this irresistible.

And who wouldn't want to make the treasure chest open to reveal a big sparkly "diamond". When the game is over, I let all the kids playing take turns pushing the last ball into the tumbling tide pool so they all have the pleasure of opening the treasure chest. Of course the winner gets to do it first!

Shockingly, this game is even educational. It teaches hand and eye coordination, number and letter recognition, counting, colors, sharing, good sportsmanship, and probably some other skills I am overlooking.

I plan to buy more of this game for gifts.

5 out of 5 stars AWESOME   December 30, 2008
Picky Shopper (Seattle, WA)
Daughter is nearly four and LOVES this game. We have a great time playing with her. It is delightful with the colored balls and the little jewel that opens up. Play is simple and straight forward.
My only wish is that they had additional cards to purchase. Daughter has already memorized everything since we have played so much.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND
