Amazon.com Product Description Jam Pack Jam from the award-winning Cranium offers hours of explosive fun! Recommended for kids ages six and up, this high-energy game is a race against the clock as players attempt to pack the trunk of a toy car before it pops open. How to Play An interesting twist on high-intensity children's games, Jam Pack Jam is a cross between a 3-D puzzle and a beat-the-clock board game. It only takes two people to play -- but more can join in the fun.
Try to pack the trunk with as many fun and wacky items as possible. View larger. | Unlike many games that aim at specific skill sets, this Cranium game creates positive excitement for all kids. The object of the game is simple -- to fit as many fun items as possible, of all shapes and sizes, into the trunk before time runs out. On each turn, players say the number of objects they think they can precariously pack. When time's up, the trunk shoots everything out the doors -- filling the room with laughter. Everything -- Even the Kitchen Sink With 14 hilarious objects you'd find in a cartoon, Jam Pack Jam includes a birthday cake, a cactus, a skateboard, even a kitchen sink. Made with durable plastic, the car and the trunk items are child-safe and can stand up to long hours of play -- and all the explosions! The game also comes with 35 cards and a score pad. About Cranium In 1998, Cranium quickly became the fastest selling independent board game in history. Since then, the Cranium company has developed numerous fun games and products for kids and adults that celebrate and engage a full range of everyone's natural abilities. As their motto goes, "With Cranium, everyone shines!" What's in the Box Cranium toy car, 14 toy items, 35 game cards, and score pad.

Jam pack fun for 6 year old!! August 7, 2008 K. Morton (Madison, WI) Bought this game right after Christmas for my 6 year old son. He has motor skill problems and wasn't reading yet so I needed a simple game to learn and fun enough that a very active kid would want to sit down with. My main concern was that the music would be loud and intensify with the count down of time. No need to fear, the music is fun and catchy, not annoying and there is no anxiety caused by ticking clocks or anything. My son likes to play this game and is learning to take turns, encouraging others, fine motor skills, and problem solving. This game may not teach a child the important lessons of life or how to divide by pie, but it's aces in my book!! He will even come inside in the evenings and pull it out to play by himself. He's still convinced that all the pieces will fit in the trunk with enough practice (they won't). (But try to tell a 6 year old boy that-they like a challenge.) Things to know, trunk ejection spring wears out with much forcing of all objects. It still makes a "sproing" sound in the music when the time is up so no concerns there. Do keep the plastic bag to hold all the parts, once the box is opened it won't work for storage. We have been playing the game pretty regularly for 6+ months and haven't replaced the original batteries yet. I will definately buy more Cranium games in the future!!
a great game that everyone loves to play February 26, 2008 henry girls mom (dandridge, tennessee) adults and children love this game. not complicated, can play within minutes of opening the box. the more you play, the more skilled you become at packing the vehicle. you have to play the hand of cards you are dealt, therefore, it is always different. there are certain "tricks" to making everything fit. it is great fun to see what fits into the chest, picnic basket, etc... Once you realize what seems to fit together, that's when you start scoring more points. highly recommend for all ages.
A fun, quick game January 8, 2008 camillejames (columbia, maryland United States) I am a mom of two and have a daycare too. This game was an immediate hit with all age groups! The only downside is the storage problem(it only includes a small ziploc).Once you run through the rules with the kids they can play this game independently. Since the SUV is the 'judge', kids don't need a hovering referee! This is a great game for rainy days and times when kids get a little cranky and need a little extra reason to relax and laugh!
Too pricey January 4, 2008 swan7girl (OH, USA) I have mixed reviews on this Cranium product. Purchased after reading it was a "hot toy" for this season but found I'm rather luke-warm on it. First off, there is NO box to store this in! And the zip lock bag it comes in is a joke so be prepared to find something else to put all the parts and the SUV in. Secondly, ours doesn't always work properly. The trunk doesn't always register (even if you only put one item in and close it) and therefore says you have to try again. Thirdly, after a few rounds it becomes rather boring b/c you can quickly find out how to pack the items each time. Lastly, the price for this is way too high! I'm hoping the folks at Cranium get back on track. I bought the Sounds of Seashore Game before this one and it also is a big DUD. Don't buy that one!
Good idea but Cranium could have done better December 30, 2007 M. Prokay (Cleveland, OH) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Got this game for the family for christmas. The idea is a good one but I think the makers fell short of "completing" the game which could have been alot better. After one game we found out that it would be more fun if we added to the game. We gave different point values (1, 2, and 3) to each piece and gave a bonus if you were able to use all of your cards. This made the game more competitive and fun for everyone. in our first game you would see us shying away from the bg yellow chair and in the second game when it was worth 3 points and a possible bonus we got creative on how to use it. I think the inventors dropped the ball on what a really good game this could have been. Once we altered it, it was alot of fun!
