| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Kids of all ages love the traditional treasure of a piggy bank. Pig E Bank takes this tradition to a new level. When you place a coin in the bank, he will tell you what coin you have deposited and then he will ask for more. The LCD screen will also tally your deposits and give you a bank balance! You can also adjust your balance when you make a withdraw. Need to access your deposited funds? Simply press his nose and watch his mouth drop open to release the coins. Pig E Bank is a great tool to teach kids to recognize coin values and count money while saving their pennies. Requires 3 "AA" batteries, included. Measures 8.7" x 5.3" x 6.3".

DO NOT BUY THIS BANK! March 24, 2008 Allig8tr (The Heartland (Nebraska)) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As an educational toy, this product is a failure. It does NOT consistently recognize the coins correctly. About 75% of the time it was wrong. Not a good way to teach kids! Also, the bank we received stuttered constantly like a record skipping and would not shut off. Bad product all around!
Makes learning about money fun! January 24, 2008 Cynthia P. Kidd 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My son had seen this item in a toy catalog and really wanted it from Santa for Christmas. He already has a piggy bank but all he talked about was getting this piggy bank from Santa so I sort of had to. He really likes it and I do too. It is pretty well constructed but could be better. It works like it is supposed to for the most part. The only thing I don't like is that it sometimes doesn't recognize a coin properly. For example, I might put a dime in and it recognizes it as a penny. Same with quarters and nickels. Other than that, it's a worthwhile toy. It is helpling my sons (my 5 year old likes to put coins in too)recognize coins and their values.
Nice idea, function "ok" January 4, 2008 S. Uhlich (Atlanta, GA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This piggy bank is nice and durable. However, my 3yr old finds it a bit difficult to use and therefore doesn't care about it much. It's tough for him to put the coins into the bank as you really have to push them in with some force so the bank will recognize the coins and record them correctly. He also finds the button fun to play with so there's no correct keeping of the dollar about in the piggy bank. As he gets older, it will probably be easier for him to use. For now, he doesn't care much about it.
