5 out of 5 stars perfect family game for ALL ages   August 7, 2008
J. White (Arizona)
My son has autism and loves visual learning games, and at age 4, can not grasp too many rules. This game is perfect for 4 to 66 (we can vouch for those age limits!) No reading involved, rules are simple and fun! The game is perfect for our family. We try to have all 3 of our children play together and there are few games that can involve an 8 year age gap.
I highly recommend this game to anyone, and at that price, can't be beat! Plan on giving it to our extended family for Christmas. Finally a gift for so many family members of all ages!

5 out of 5 stars Fun for Everyone   May 26, 2008

When my family wants to play a game, one of the few games we can all agree on is Doodle Dice. I introduced it to a friend, who immediately wanted to get her own. All of us who have played are adults--don't let the fact that it's "doodles" keep you from playing! As mentioned, it's really a very creative variation of Yahtzee, with a bit more strategy added in (for example, you can "steal" cards others have won).

One of the nicest aspects is how the game works well for varying numbers of players. Unlike many games, it doesn't ask for a high minimum number of players, even number of players, or anything else that would limit what size or types of groups it can be played in (if you have too many people, of course, just play in groups).

Pay really close attention the first time you play. Seeing the ingenious little doodles for the first time is great fun.

The game was simple enough that we were playing it a few minutes after we opened the box, but fun enough that we continue to pull it out. There is a combo of luck and strategy involved (kind of like Yahtazee). But it's not SO strategic that young my young child (6) couldn't be successful. Would be a great gift - as I don't see it in many stores, making it a rare treasure that is sure not to be a duplicate.

5 out of 5 stars Great game for all ages   January 9, 2007

Unique concept and very fun! Similar to Yahtzee, there's luck and strategy. Easy enough for my 6 year old but fun enough that my 9 and 11 year olds love it, too. Has become our favorite family game. Definite kid appeal but also great for grown-ups.
