If you don't expect the world it's great. I mean it's a blow up wave runner. It goes 2 feet per second at top speed. I have a 18 month old boy that loves it. I think that if a child is over 5 year old they would not be very excited about it. Works best if used in a pool vs. a lake.

This wave rider was a lot of fun in the pool for my 4 and 2 year old grandsons. It does not move to fast so older kids may find it boring. The water shoots out a good distance. I would recommened it.

The idea was fun, the picture seemed good, but in less than 12 hours these were garbage.

Under 50 lb. kids love it, anything over that there's just not a lot of movement. Recommended for light, smaller kids.
